Berkley Gulp Alive Waxies Micro Bait Reviews:

I am never with out this bait.

My wife and I use this bait on just about every thing we throw. If we are wacky fishing we put one on the hook just for scent. Same for any hard or soft bait. We just pick a hook and place one Gulp Waxie on the hook and throw it. It has increased our catch by leaps and bounds. I am not going to tell you we just put it on and the fish jump in the boat. I am just saying in has increased our catch. We only fish catch and release and the Gulp Waxies will be in my box every trip out. We also bought some of those disposable plastic containers with lids and place the Gulp bottles in them. For the life of me I wish they did not leak. No matter how secure I feel I have the lid tightened they leak. These plastic containers really contain the spillage and save a huge mess in my tackle box. Also super easy clean up and I can pour the spillage back into the bottle. Fishermen & Woman that use this produce know a little leak makes for a smelly tackle box, and it gets on everything. Also a superior bait for panfish. Total success in this area of fishing. Favorite color is bright green.

Excellent value! Great Results!

This bait is awesome for panfish. Tip a jig or fly, and it's on!I've used many different nuggets and artificial maggots, etc., and these are by far the best I've used. I no longer worry about bait dying in the sun, and these waxies often outfish live bait for bluegill. I've also caught some nice bass, walleye, and a couple 20# plus cats on just one of these little baits. The smell takes a bit of getting used to, and the juice sometimes leaks out of the jar, but because of the results I've had, these issues are negligible. There have been a couple days when they just didn't want gulp, and preferred waxworms or maggots, but those days are rare. In fact, I have so much confidence in these baits that I don't even bother taking live-bait out with me anymore. I just purchased five jars from Cabelas because my friends and family members are now all believers and won't leave mine alone.

Great smelt bait!

I use these for smelt fishing in winter! They work so very well! I love the red color, but unfortunately Berkley has discontinued this color! Good thing they last for ever, just put them back in the jar and let them recharge and good for an other few dozen fish! They also work very well for pan fish! Try them, they work!

Works at times

Works when water temperatures increase in middle of summer. Scent is stronger than live wax worms and drives fish crazy. Would grade higher but usually doesn't work during spawning season.
