Beats Guessing

I troll for walleye alot and this takes all the guess work out of wondering exactly how much line you have behind the boat. Easy to use and to hook up. I love it. I just need to pick up 4 more.

Berkley Linecounter Not Good

I first used this line counter as intended by the manufacturer and it was garbage. It would not come close to being even remotely accurate. More than half the time it did not work at all, zero. I then used it as a line counter for spooling bulk fishing line onto my reels. I got it to work OK by attaching it to a board and suspending it several inches above and in between the bulk line spool and the fishing reel spool. Constant HEAVY line pressure with an awkward position but it measures the line OK most of the time.

JUNK

I ordered 4 of these counters to pull cranks on Sardis Lake. I picked up 2 while I was waiting for the others to come in. They didn't work. I got home and opened one of them up and found out why. There is one pulley and a clamp that holds the line tight on the pulley. If you don't have the line held down tight it just goes through without turning the pulley. When I got the 4 I ordered in I didn't even open them. I sent them back to Cabelas. JUNK!!

Not Good

I wanted to use it to know how much backer line I was putting on my reels. I would start reeling in the line and it wouldn't start counting. When I gave it a smack, it would start counting. Save your money and don't buy.
