The Bern Berkeley Ski and Snowboarding Multi-Sport Helmet for Women and Girls is a vented ski and snowboard multi-sport helmet with interchangeable liners so it can be used for Snow, skate and BMX sports. This helmet has the Bern Zip Mold inmold technology which has a higher strength to weight ratio making this a very light helmet.
Zip Mold is a new technology that is engineered and tested to pass applicable standards including EN 1078 for biking, ASTM 2040 for snow sports, and CPSC for biking and skateboarding. Zipmold is a patent pending liquid foam injection process. When the liquid dries, a skin is formed on the surface providing a seamless, polished finish. Zipmold helmets have a higher weight to strength ratio than Inmold enabling Bern helmets to be lighter, thinner, and lower profile.
This snow, skate and bike helmet has skate styling, adjustable vents, and the optional interchangeable liners to convert between winter and summer sports.
This helmet is engineered and tested to pass the EN 1078, CSPC, and ASTM F 2040 Standard Specifications for Helmets.
You know that you need a helmet for all the crazy stuff you do on your bike or on your board, but the giant bobble-head look doesn't do much for you. Bern takes care of that particular dilemma by using Zip Mold technology and its own Sink Fit to ensure that the Women’s Berkeley Helmet sits nice and snug around your head while still offering all the protection you need.
The Bern Berkeley is a women-specific bike helmet that is lightweight, low profile and versatile—and oh, did we mention cool-looking?

I'm a recreational biker and was looking at this and a sport one. People were warning me the Bern helmets would get really hot in the summer compared to the sport ones but I was pleasantly surprised the vents were great and I can feel the air flow though and didn't get hot. Great look as well. Love the versatility of this, as I can wear this on the slopes come ski season. I have a tiny head and normally wear an XS in everything and was right between an XS and S in this helmet. I ended up getting size S and it's the right size - it's adjustable for the perfect fit.
I got the XS for my tiny head and it fits great. I wouldn't wear one of those spaceship helmets and this was the only one i found that doesn't look ginormous on top of my head. The strap in the back doesn't do much but it tuns out I don't really need it. Doesn't fit as well without the visor, but it seems to ventilate well anyways. And I can still fit a thin hat underneath when its really cold.
cute helmet & I like the optional visor. I'm a 56cm, so I went with a medium. Sadly too big, and the adjustment in the back didn't 'close' as much as it looked like it could have (still had about a cm to go, but the straps prevented it from squeezing closed any further) .
ps. For those who might care-- on the 'gloss white bomber', the stripe is greener than it appears-- more sea foam green than aqua blue.
Besides handling a beating from getting hit in the head or thrown off my bike in polo, this helmet is so super light and comfy that I pretty much forget I am wearing it. In the summer it is surprisingly cool and in the winter it's nice and warm with the optional winter liner.
Bought this for my lady! She would not where one of those other dorky looking bike helmets. But she loves this one. I scored big browny points and protected her melon too!
As soon as I opened the box and saw the helmet I had to go ride my bike. Incredible great fit, aesthetically pleasing and just absolutely awesome. The shipping was prompt.
