Bern Brentwood Bike Helmet -

Quit swapping helmets every time the seasons change and slide on the low-profile Bern Brentwood Helmet; ample venting keeps this lid cool in the summer, and a snap-in liner (sold separately) readies it for winter slashing. The tough, seamless hard shell design wraps around your skull to protect you from racking your brain on the snow or concrete. Mom can rest easy. Bern invested serious time into dialing in the Sink Fit shape so the Brentwood easily accommodates sunglasses or goggles and it won’t leave you feeling like a top-heavy dashboard wobble-head.

Fabric:

  • ZipMold® construction injects high-impact liquid foam and fuses it to a lightweight PVC shell for a seamless, low-profile fit and high strength-to-weight ratio

Fit:

  • Molded channels fit eyewear ear stems so they don't dig into your head
  • Eyewear channel for comfort and fit with most eye glasses and sunglasses
  • Two goggle clip locations for a custom fit

Ventilation:

  • Channeled Air-Flow regulates temperature and ventilation by pulling air through the front vents to the rear exhaust vents

Weather and Wind:

  • Easily adapt your helmet to the season with the Bern interchangeable cold- and warm-weather liners and accessories, not included
  • Meets ASTM F 2040 for snow and ski, CPSC and EN 1078 standards for bike and skate
  • Snap-in clip system for cold and warm weather liner integration (liners sold separately)

Features:

  • Includes removable snap-in visor
  • Lightweight low-profile helmet with a polished, seamless, tapered finish

Bern Brentwood Bike Helmet Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

Purchased this helmet for my 4 year old son (In LARGE). Seriously. Needed a helmet for scooter or biking and all of the skate style helmets fit him like a yarmulke (poorly - didn't go around his head, just fit on top). this helmet fit him great, went all around his head, is pretty stylee and doesn't 'shake' when he moves his head. Looks great too. I have a bern i use for snowboarding too which i like. Overall great helmet and good price on backcountry.

Its been a year now since I decided to grab this helmet. I use it most biking in Chicago and love the brim and ventilation. If I'm not exerting myself hard I stay sweat free. Even when pushing it, and getting a good sweat on, its not hot per say. I've also used it while crushing the woods on my ATV and bombing the hills in my super sweet snow tube. A great, versatile, good looking helmet.

The Bern Brentwood rules! The Sink Fit Shape works great Down Hilling with goggles or hitting the dirt jumps with your shades on. Another feature of this helmet is that when winter comes around and it's time rock n roll you can use the Brentwood as your go to lid for winter sports.

Excellent fit and comfort (measure your head to make sure you buy the right size). Very solid construction and feel. Despite fewer holes, lets wind go through and keeps my head cool. Visor provides perfect additional shade wearing sunglasses. Overall very impressed. Will buy from this brand again.

I just bought a replacement for my original helmet. Same style, size and color. I had an accident last week and my Bern helmet cracked when my head hit the pavement. But my skull was OK. I didn't lose conciousness. Wear your helmet out there peoples!

This helmet is great. Its very comfortable and actually breathes very well considering not having many vents. I primarily use it for snow sports but it would make an excellent biking helmet as well.

Super Sick lid. I bought a conversion liner and used it to snowboard in too. Can't beat the comfort and it looks way cooler than the other bike helmets out there.

Ricky Bobby at Backcountry.com on 07/23/2010

nice helmet

Fast delivery. Helmet is very light. The vent holes provide a stream of cool air when riding. The helmet is comfortable to wear even on hot and humid days.

Johny forgot his helmet yesterday, so I lent him my Brentwood. He was stoked!

Negative Reviews:

Thought this thing wouldn't look a big bike helmet on my head, but it did. Returned it. When will they make a bike helmet that actually looks good?

hel4013286 at Backcountry.com on 09/26/2010

great looking helmet but there is no difference in size between the L and XL. the screws on the inside press into my temples. too bad.
