Positive Reviews:

Outstanding Value Buy

First off, whenever camping, your UNDER insulation is MORE IMPORTANT than your top for STAYING WARM. If you use this bag with a 30* pad, you may get cold at 30*. If you use this bag with 15* pad at 30* you'll be warm. That being said, in the right system, this bag is an outstanding value buy.

Usually can be found on sale well under 200.00. 650fp down and under 3lbs (most bags in this class are over 200.00 EASY) It's water-resistant down as well so you don't have to be so crazy about keeping it dry, can handle less than ideal conditions, A+.

Packs EASILY into the SB compartment on my Osprey Volt (60L pack)

at 5'11" I'm at the very limit of height for the regular.

Bag is VERY roomy and zips all the way down the side to the bottom but not across the bottom. Zips both ways as well so you can vent your footbox.

Bottom line for the price you're getting a legit, lightweight, water-resistant 650fp down sleeping bag. Hard pressed to do that with most bags.

Bag would be great car-camping or backpacking and there's always room for it (compresses smaller than a 2L bottle easily)

Buy confidently. Buy appropriately rated under insulation for the temps you expect. If you buy a higher rater pad you can get away with taking this lightweight bag into the 20*'s easily.

Great sleeping bag

A great 3 season sleeping bag. Its very well made. The hood works well for colder nights. I tried sleeping in this bag in 20F degree weather. I used a bag liner and wore thermal longjohns, but I was still cold. Take the 30 degree rating on this bag seriously and don't push it. FYI: I don't get cold as easily as most people seem to. In the future I will take a heavier bag if the low is expected to be below 25.

Great Backpacking bag

Love this bag. Very comfortable and lots of room to get comfy in. Not as binding as a mummy bag but no penalty in weight either. My BA pad fits in the back and BA pillow fits in sleeve inside. Packs down pretty small. Can add a liner if needing extra warmth which makes a 30 degree bag more versatile in my opinion. Big Ups to BA for a very good bag at a great price point!

Neutral Reviews:

Good bag, not perfect.

Just to be clear. This bag is very comfortable. The big agnes sleep system is pretty cool although being attached to your pad takes some getting used to. The Fish Hawk specifically is rated to 30 degrees, but, I would not want to take it to that temp. At 50 degrees the other night I actually had a few cold spots. I attribute this mostly to the rectangular design and the edges of the non insulated bottom. These two areas create a good amount of dead air that is hard to warm up with your body heat. Not a life threatening nit pick but a let down none the less. Buy this bag if you are on a budget. If you have the coin go for something like the Mont-Bell UL Super Spiral or the Marmot Atom. Better Down quality softer feeling material against your skin smaller pack size and MUCH lighter.
