Positive Reviews:

Excellent for bigger guys

I bought this based on the other reviews suggesting it was suitable for larger guys and boy were they right. I am about 6'3", 300 lbs, and I can have my arms at my sides and put my legs in a figure four inside this thing. I can even lie on my stomach with my arms under/above my head and stay completely inside.

Another bonus is the pad pocket. Not only does it keep you centered on the pad, it also forms a rigid back so if you turn on your side, you spin inside the bag instead of the entire bag rotating with you. It fit perfectly with my Thermarest, and even had a slot in the corner for the valve to stick out.

But don't think about using this without a sleeping pad, there is no insulation on the bottom at all.

Only downside is it is bulky/heavy, but there's really no way to make a sleeping bag this large compact.

If only by some miracle of science...

I wish it could compress more. I'm pretty seriously overweight (6 ft. 280 lbs) with wide shoulders and a belly I'm still shrinking, so I can't handle most sleeping bags, especially mummy bags. I do enjoy hiking and backpacking though. This bag is roomy and great for car camping. I've rigged it to my Deuter Aircontact Lite 65 + 10 Pack; with this and a sleep pad is a lot of bulk to hike with but is about all I can hope for versus torturing myself with trying to get into a smaller bag.
I've considered getting a compression sack.
As for the bag itself, it's marvelously warm, and sort of the envy of all when camp is established. Good zippers, good hood management, and I can roll over onto my side to sleep, which is much preferred.

Big bag for big boys

At 6 feet and 270 lbs, finding a bag that fit well to my body type was a challenge. Tried many other bags and most were constricting of any movement. Being an active sleeper (move around a lot at night) this bag is by far the best fitting bag to my body type and sleeps well at night with the 25" pad.

Was able to side sleep as well. Some others using this bag in previous reviews mentioned that this is a back only bag but it sleeps side saddle very well.

Bag and pad take up a good amount of space but the other option is strangling myself in a bag that does not fit.

Great Product

I used this bag for the first time this past weekend on the Superior Hiking Trail. The night time temps got down into the 30's and I found that the bag kept me perfectly warm and comfortable, infact a couple times through the night I had to unzip the bag to cool down a bit. I would say the rating is right on, atleast for me. If there was one drawback I would say the bag is kinda bulky, but it did fit in my backpack's sleeping bag compartment fine, but that was all that fit in that area of my bag.

Great bag for big guys

I've used this bag multiple nights at the rated temperature and was warm all through the night! I bought it with intentions of sleeping in the 40 degree range without the pants, long sleeves, and hat that the ratings include. It works great and is very comfortable. I'm a big guy and I can roll around comfortably. I wish it packed a little smaller to take backpacking but I love it and it's perfect for camping.

Big Guy bag!

Traveling on a motorcycle you have to carry only needs, and this fit the bill… added a compression sack to minimize it's size and worked out great!!! love the pocket for a mattress so there was no sliding off during the night.. I'm a big guy 6' 280 and had plenty of room…

For Tall and Big guys!

I am 6'8 tall 320lbs, I am tall and big and this bag is great! I have plenty of room to roll over, move around and not feel constricted at all.
It is a little heavy but it will go with me backpacking.

New favorite Bag

I am an Active sleeper and hate feeling confined, so this bag is a perfect for me to move around in. Love how it holds on the pad and holds pillow really well. Tent leaked first night and shell was water resistant.

Still in testing stage.

I have yet to use this product in a real world application, but I have tried it out at home and like it so far. Plenty of room for a larger guy like myself. Will be giving it a real world try in April on the Superior Hiking Trail.
