Big Game Treestands Big Game Vertex Blind And Platform Combo -
The versatility of this two-part combination kit greatly increases its hunting applications and sets it apart from other stands on the market. It includes a 7-ft. Booster™ elevated platform and a hunting blind that can be used atop the platform or as a stand-alone ground blind. The blind is 60"-square and 61" tall with 12 large viewing windows and a big roof opening. An easy-to-use hub system makes for simple assembly, yet adds extra support for sturdiness. The fabric is 600-denier polyurethane-backed polyester with a Phantom Pro® black interior, and its Scent Elimination® coating conceals human scent. The Booster elevated steel platform is 48" x 48" accessed via a 20" x 20" flip-up trap door in the floor atop an included ladder with 9"-wide steps. A handrail on the ladder provides additional safety during entry and exit. The blind secures to the platform with four tie-down straps and four extension rods to withstand strong winds. Five ground stakes are also included for securing the setup to the ground.

customer upgrades

I purchased the kit, with blind and the extender in 2009. First used in late 2009. Platform has been outdoors (in northern Michigan) ever since and is wearing well (little rust visible) Always have felt stable in it. especially once the the blind is installed I've made a few of my own inexpensive improvements..... 1) cut some rubber backed carpet squares for the floor. eliminates noise and insulates. 2) use a rope to bring up bulky items. at 6'2" , 240lbs, 43 yrs old i could easy get through the door without the gear 3) replace blind with Primos GunHunter (it has a Primos GroundMax). fewer zippers, more flexible, holds more heat, better cover & view. probably more effective with gun, crossbow or compact bow. 4) secure blind with ratchet straps on the corners Hopefully, the Big Game folks will use this input for improvements

Not worth the price

It's a cheap flimsy squeaking piece of junk. Zippers don't work and every time you move your big toe the thing squeaks. If the price was about half it would probably be a decent value.

Nice Platform Poor Blind

The stand/platform is excellent. Took about 2 hours to put together. It is light enough for two people to put in the pickup truck and unload. We did add plywood to the floor as the expanded metal is hard on the knees. The Blind however is not of very good quality, we put it on the platform and the wind in SD ripped the stake grommets out. I would buy the stand/platform again, but build a box blind to sit in.

It's OK...

The platform was very easy to put together. A rubber mat can be placed on the floor. Make sure it's heavy, though. Putting the blind up was challenging. Use a fold up chair because without decent walls, you may fall through the bottom of the blind. We used industrial strength velcro brand strips to keep the top flaps open. Needs work but is do-able!
