You can climb, ski, or stroll around town in the versatile Black Diamond Men's Crag Softshell Hooded Jacket. As much as you'd like to, you don't spend every waking moment on a crag or snow trail, so it's nice to have a transitional piece that's technical enough to support your weekend mountain forays, but casual and comfortable enough to wear around town when you get back down to lower elevations (or down to earth, you might say). The jacket's Polartec Windbloc shell fabric provides breathable windproof and water-repellent protection while its lofted fibers offer low-bulk warmth. This stretchy fabric supports dynamic movement when you're out on mountain adventures, and the large hood is compatible with a climbing or ski helmet. And whether you're powering out in the hills or strolling around the park, an internal media pocket with a cord port can hold your MP3 player so you can create a soundtrack for the day.

The Windbloc fleece gives thie Crag a good feeling and versatility. The fit is slight trimmer than most other brands - which I think it a good thing. The finish is sharp and I dig the same color logo on the chest. It is easy to see that everything on this jacket was thought out and has a specific purpose - burly zipper, roomy hood, big enough for a helmet if needed, interior pocket for the smart phone/music with a headphone port. The Crag is a great casual around town jacket that also works great for trips to the mountains?
Reminds of the North face Apex Bionic jacket a little, has unnecessary excess material on some parts (mid section)and a high price tag. But, it's deferent brand than the north face and I wish them luck.
