Equally adept on snow, dirt and rock, the new Black Diamond Contour Elliptic Trekking Pole Compact is a strong, versatile, high-mileage pole built for comfortable and secure navigation across variable terrain. Thanks to its elliptic shaft, the pole has twice the fore and aft stiffness of round-shafted poles. For increased comfort, the Contour Elliptic features a 15-degree corrective angle, 360-degree padded webbing, and ergonomic ovalized foam grip. The pole’s dual FlickLock adjustment is efficient and simple to operate even with gloves on; in the dark; in a rainstorm; with 40-mph wind gusts. On the business end, the pole comes outfitted with Long Flex Tips and easy-to-swap-out trekking and powder baskets for year-round hiking versatility.
When you want the comfort and shock absorption of an elliptic pole without the shock to your wallet, turn to the Contour Elliptic Compact Poles from Black Diamond. Your joints will thank you for the elliptic shape and 15-degree corrective angle that keep you comfortable and on the move.

Extra-strong trekking and snowshoe poles for all-season travel. The Black Diamond Elliptic Compact trekking poles feature dual-flicklocks for easy non-slip adjustments.

These super-stiff and light compact trekking poles provide support and stability with an effortless swing, making your hikes and treks more enjoyable.

AMAZING! | |

| These trekking poles are amazing! I'm a 300+ pounder and they still were wable to hold me up. I never have to worry about stability or having them fail when i needed them the most like with some other trekking poles i have used. I had given up on trekking poles entirely until about a year ago when my girlfriend bought these for me for snowshoeing. until then every set i had used required constant tightening and collapsed as soon as i started to slip, the exact time i needed them (this was back when i only weighed in at 180lbs). the flick lock is completely secure and easy to use even with gloves on. couple that with the elliptical shaft and you have the best pair of trekking poles ever devised by mortal man. | |

Very durable | |

| I've used these poles for about 1.5 years in the New Hampshire White Mountains and the Adirondacks. They've saved my legs many times and without a doubt let me go farther. I typically also clap them together to let bears know that I am nearby. Only drawback is that the packlength is relatively long and don't fit inside my bag. | |

Not So Good | |

| Stay away. The bottom locking mechanism is glued to the top shaft. When the glu give out the bottom shaft is no longer attached. They were returned and Im going with the style of BD that does not have the bottom snapping lick...the rigidity of the elliptical pole cant be beat. | |
