Perfect balance!

This is my go to non-locking carabiner for everything - ice climbing, alpine quickdraws, even my trad rack as a ton of these. It's lightweight, full size, doesn't freeze up and it's full strength. While there's lighter micro-biners, I think the size versatility makes up for the extra weight. Clipping these are no problem, even with mitts or gloves on, and I can even tie a decent hitch 'round one if I have to. It's pretty directional, so cross loading has never been an issue for me.Bottom line - if you can afford em, grab as many as you can! The weight savings add up and the functionality is pretty unmatched for something this light.

Awesome carabiner easy to handle, light weight with no compramise in size!

These are great and finally a much needed improvement on the BD Hotwire, I have a have always been a fan of the Mammut element but with the new Hotwire being the same weight and offering a slightly larger / easier to handle carabiner it definitively takes the cake without breaking your wallet. These will be great for ice climbing when you have to fumble around with clunky gloves to make clips.

very light, very strong, and feels solid

I like pretty much everything about it, except for the quality of the anodization. Maybe it's just mine, but the wear on it the first time I took it climbing with me was a little higher than I would have expected. I don't think it will really impact the performance, but it's something to keep in mind.

Only 1oz heavier than the Neutrino with the handling and clipping benefits of a full size karab. I have these on the rope end of all of my quickdraws. I find the flat surface of the wire gate to be super easy to clip even with wet or icy ropes.

Lightweight and Performance, The Best!!

I first used the carabiner sport climbing and it was probably one of the lightest and easiest to clip carabiners I have ever been able to use. They are the best you can get for the price! I suggest buying several of them for your favorite pieces on your rack!!

My favorite wiregate biners. Load up!

I've ordered at least one of almost every wiregate around to find which one I like best, and the HotWire wins. It is cheap and functional, sized perfectly, and quite frankly blows some others out of the water. If you are looking for an awesome wiregate, look no further.

Solid Wire Gate

So a Biner is a Biner, these are about as good as they get without dropping more than $10 each. Wild Country Helium's are lighter and keylock but other than that I would say you cant beat these.

Bad Ass Biner

These are awesome. they are huge for as light as they are and they clib like a dream. standard BD quality, I use them with mammut contact slings for alpine draws and I love em. buy them,

Perfect for trad gear

very light and easy to clip, i have these on all my trad gear. Don't get sucked into the micro biner commotion, those tiny things are hard to clip.

Nice wire gate

So far I've only used this biner for keeping gear on me but it does that very well and it makes you look a whole lot cooler
