Gearx

A smash hit in the warm-mitten category, Mercury Mitts have been keeping hands toasty around the world for years. GearX has sold nearly 2,000 pairs of them over the past couple of winters, so there are plenty of happy owners out there who can attest that the Mercury Mitt is their go-to choice for frigid weather. Their legendary warmth is provided by a removable liner filled with high-grade Primaloft One insulation and lined with high-loft Polartec Thermal Pro fleece, which can withstand temperatures as low as -20o F for most users. Mercury Mitts are generally warm enough to take you anywhere in the continental US, Europe, or South America; the even warmer Absolute Mitts take over for 8,000 meter Himalayan peaks, Alaska/Yukon mountaineering, and polar adventures.

Black Diamond Mercury Mitt Review:

Reviews:

fingers are finally warm

Bought these mitts for downhill skiing. They kept my hands warm in temps ranging from 9-20 degrees. Also used them on a backcountry day for downhill portion of laps in -3 degree temps.

Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the articulated pointer finger really does not add to dexterity. Did not have trouble with pointer fingers getting cold, but do think that a plain ol'mitt liner with all four fingers together would be more comfortable when holding a ski pole.
