Does it's job and it's least expensive

This is my first ever harness purchase. I use it for indoor climbing weekly. I like that it was cheap, but it doesn't do a cheap job. The leg straps are super easy to adjust. When buying it I was originally going to buy the large because that's what size I buy in many other things. Luckily I was helped in realizing that the large was way too big. Now that I've had my medium for nearly 3 months I can see that it too can be big in the waist, leaving no room to tighten it more. (I'm 5'7" and weigh 155 if that helps any.) If you're even a tad smaller than me I would suggest buying a small, but then again I'm not an expert.

Excellent harness for toproping

I bought this for my daughter. Top rope only, mostly indoor. The harness is far more comfortable then competitors products of similar price. She can sit back and rest without it cutting into her hips or legs. Pretty straight forward to get on and no need to double back webbing to ensure security like some other harnesses I've used. The only drawback can be the flexible cinch around the legs and the flexible webbing connecting the leg loops to the hip belt. sometimes if you don't get the waist tight enough it slips and can cause the leg loops to cut into you. Something to watch for when getting into your harness more than a complaint really.

Comfortable and affordable

I got this harness about a year ago and it's holding up really well. I climb mostly indoors, but I've used it outside a couple of times as well. So far, no signs of fraying. The only slight negative would be that the waist belt and buckle are a bit difficult to adjust, but I got used to it. But since this harness cost less than some of the competitors, I consider it a very good value.

Good investment

I bought this for my girlfriend as her sport climbing harness. Shes a casual climber and familiar with proper gear usage and maintenance. It works very well for her, but its greatest flaw is that it doesn't sit on her hips quite perfectly. She has fallen on it numerous times, and it hasn't failed so it appears to be either user error or a small discomfort situation.

I would recommend this harness

This fit is super comfy, which is why I love this harness. Some harnesses are uncomfortable around my legs, but the padding on this harness is just right and I'm not having to constantly re-adjust it. It's very quick to put on & take off. I do sport climbing a few times a month and this harness treats me very well.

Great so far

I've used this harness 3 times now, so I'm not yet sure how it will age (this is the only reason I haven't given it 5 stars). It is easy to put on and adjust; it is comfortable to wear; it hasn't gotten too hot as I was concerned it might. Definitely a good harness for a recreational climber like me!

Great for starting out!

This harness feels well made and is great for the price. I was looking at unisex harnesses but ended up buying this one instead because of the fit. Women tend to fit a smaller waist and larger leg loops than men's or unisex harnesses as well as a longer inseam, and this one was very comfortable.

Great harness!

I got this harness as a birthday present and they couldn't have picked better. It's still new but it feels like it will last me a long time. Also, it's super comfortable, even when I wear it for hours at a time. I haven't climbed outside in it yet but I'm sure it will be great.
jensencha at REI on 02/02/2012

Quality and comfort

This harness is perfect for me. I can wear it for 4-5 hours without feeling any discomfort. It is strong, well-made and perfect for my indoor and outdoor climbing adventures. It fits well but is easily adjustable, easy to put on, safe and a lovely mauve/purple!
AutumnlaBoheme at REI on 05/05/2012

Feels like a cloud

I love that the legs adjust by simply sliding the plastic clip over. They also stay in place really well and don't bunch my shorts up even when I fall or I've been on the wall for awhile.

Neutral Reviews:

Not as good as the older version

The new auto-doubleback buckles are a nice addition. However, all of the padding around the waist that made this a great long multi-pitch harness is gone. It is uncomfortable to wear on hanging belays for long periods of time. This would probably be great for the gym or single-pitch sport.

Rusted after one year of use

After about one year of use my Primrose harness rusted on non-essential components. I've found this harness comfortable and a good entry-level harness. I would like to recommend this harness IF the metal was all non-rusting. However, it is not.
