Black Diamond Shot Reviews:

Good product. a little small though.

I climb recreationally and teach Fall Protection and High Angle Rescue for my daily bread. Most of my personal climbing gear isn't ANSI Z359 compliant, so I can't use it in class.

I still like having it at hand, though. So, I bought this bag as a "go bag" for my personal fallpro gear.

It's great. Tough as nails with a KISS simple single pocket and a small footprint that doesn't crowd you if you wear it aloft. Best of all, they didn't put insane amounts of useless padding on the straps.

I just wish it was a big larger. Right now, the single compartment holds a chalk bag, 3 cordelettes, a skein of 3mm "bootlace", 2 rolls of webbing, and a rescue rack of 'Biners, an ATC guide, a GIGI, and a few pulleys. Good thing I don't bring friends with my rescue rig because the bag's maxxed and there wouldn't be room. I guess I'd also like some way to lash on my rope bag, but there are no lugs or eyelets of any kind.

I would buy this bag again in a heartbeat. Just make sure you can live with the spartan amount of space.

tough lil pack

I love this pack for day hikes with the family, can hold a snack, some water and a F.A. kit. I also use this for long climbs with a view, I clip in when I am done and have a snack while enjoying a view.

Like others have posted, this is a great little pack for carrying water, food, small camera, etc on multi-pitch climbs, without getting in your way when looking up or with harness.

used this on a couple of longer 6+ pitch climbs to carry water, camera, and food. Perfect in that I forgot I was wearing it.
