  • Semi-Rocker tip and a 100 mm waist for easy trail breaking on the up and effortless surfing on the down

  • Formula One Technology with three ribs for maximum torsional stiffness (2012)
Black Diamond's Women's Starlet Ski is the female-specific version of the brand's incredibly popular Drift skis. It is a lightweight ski with a soft flex and early rise tip. In combination with a 100 mm waist, this design works well in any snow conditions and provides excellent comfortable turning. A women's-specific amount of flex and underfoot camber give the skier confidence on powder or harder snow. A new Semi-Rocker tail shape ensures an easy release out of turns. The Semi-Rocker tip improves trail breaking and early float.
The core of the Starlet Ski is made from lightweight paulownia wood. This durable core is surrounded by Torsion Box construction, and the skis have three ribs for as much torsional stiffness as possible. Created with the brand's Formula One design, other features include SkinLock tail tabs and Racing Edge construction. These elements ensure that you are comfortable on steep slopes. The Starlet is ideal for 70 percent powder and 30 percent hard snow. Black Diamond is known for its top quality, and these skis will not disappoint.

Cruise through the backcountry and float over powder stashes with the 2012 Starlet. Improved turn radius and added Semi-Rocker tail will have you relishing in snowy ecstasy dodging trees or arcing down big open faces. A lightweight ski, the Starlet will be your best friend in the backcountry whether you are skinning up or cashing in your turns on the way down but will also give you great performance for those few lift service days.

The Starlet is Black Diamond's women's-specific flex version of the Drift. Black Diamond sheds the carbon from the Drift to the Starlet to add a bit more flex. With maintained underfoot camber, this ski will give the best performance on soft and hard snow. Rip down through the backwoods but glide up the ascent with ease with the Starlet's lightweight paulownia wood core surrounded by Torsion Box construction and Formula One Technology with three ribs for maximum torsional rigidity. SkinLock tail tabs will keep your skins in place while trail breaking with ease with Semi-Rock tip and new Semi-Rock tail.

Optimal use: 70% soft snow / 30% hard snow

Berg's Ski Shop
The women's-specific Starlet has a wide, soft flexing, early-rise tip for riding high in powder and easy turn initiation. It's really great to see BD bringing this technology into the ladies line of skis as well as it's a huge step-up and makes a huge difference so the ladies don't have to settle with the guys skis anymore. BD is building the best skis they have ever built and things like the early-rise/semi-rockered tip is everything and more. Really great to see BD using the paulownia wood core as well as it's light and strong but also a renewable recourse wood so BD is keeping their green thing going. Thanks Black Diamond!
