These gloves are a great value for what you can do with them. I have used them ice and alpine climbing since this design came out. The dexterity is great, they are simple and clean so they will fit under the cuff of a jacket and the palm is really durable (I use them on appel as well). They will wet out as they are a fleece glove but that is why you should have multiple pairs. These gloves fit me perfectly and are not baggy, perhaps people should read the size chart before purchasing. As for warmth, I have climbed in these gloves below 0F but I was moving quickly. If you get cold with these on you are not moving fast enough or maybe you haven't been hydrating or eating properly.
Gloves do exactly what they say. Not incredibly insulated but block the wind well. Anything short of snow these are perfect.
Sucks. Ok these gloves are super baggy. They make your fingers look like dog skin. As soon as I got them that same day the clip that holds the gloves together fell off. I really don't like these gloves at all. I'll be returning these. They seem super cheap. Considering you can get something for the same price that is way nicer.
I was looking for a stretchy glove liner that can hold up against minor wind and temps down to 30. these gloves are pretty good against wind, and i can only imagine it performing well into the 30s, since i haven't had them long enough to test it in that condition. but they are not stretchy like the midweight glove liners from BD, which are great for doing detailed work while keeping your digits warm. these gloves are not good for tasks like lighting a stove, openning the Mountainhouse pouch, or even turning on headlamps (i had troubles)
Single stick steams allow the wind in easily. It's a bit like wearing a windstopper jacket that's unzipped. It kind of defeats the purpose.
