"Serious Stability, Even for the Big Guys"
| Rating: | ![]() |
| These poles absolutely rock the trails they have been used on. I am a large fella of substantial height and weight and the flick locks keep these poles locked and stable every step of the way. I have never had to stop and tighten the locks even after many miles of climbs and descents that required me to heavily lean on them throughout two days. If you have a shelter that uses your poles for setup the flick lock functions perfectly. My Outdoor Research Nighthaven shelter was rock steady in some very heavy winds and these poles never slipped a millimeter. The only con is the lack of protective rubber tips, but I am primarily on dirt and rocky trails so it is not a big deal for me. | |

They can take some abuse

| The poles survived nicely on a 2.5-day backpacking trip despite the points getting caught between rocks and what-not a few times (my fault; not the equipment) and other minor stresses on them. Slight pre-blister irritation, but I adjust my grip at times to reduce rubbing on that spot. They are my first poles (I've used them 3 times now), and have made hiking much easier for me by allowing my to use my arms to take some weight and help me balance. | |

| Decided to save my knees and purchase a pair of these. They are nice, lightweight and compact for easy storage when you don't need them. | |
