Positive Reviews:

When I got my CHL, my son purchased this fanny pack for me. I currently carry a S&W J frame. Being right handed I have to have wear the pack in front on the left hand side. This is so I can open the zipper with my left hand and extract the firearm with my right. I haven't learned how to use the quick open tabs. They either don't work or I am not doing it correctly. I went to the Blackhawk web site - no help. So I open the zipper with my left hand. This means that you need to have the zipper tab positioned on the bottom right hand side. Once i put the pack on, I MUST check that the zipper pull is in the correct possition to allow easy opening. You MUST do this or you may not be able to open it as effortlessly as you my need to. The pack is made up of very good materials and I carry it on my trips to and from work.

Negative Reviews:

good material, but bad design

The bag was made with good material, but the design and tailoring were just bad. First, the quick-break-away system just didn't work, and the secure strap/ button were in the way, it took me at least 8 sec before I could draw out my gun. You might have got killed already. I ordered the medium size bag. It was too small for my S&W 5906 small frame. I had to exchange for a large size bag. The bag stuffed with some thick foam packing/cushion material. It is just too big itself, but it only able to fit a small gun inside. The two side compartments were too small for anything, I barely able to fit two fingers inside. I won't recommend it, unless you don't mind to carry a yellow pages sized bag, but it can only carry a small pistol.
