Positive Reviews:

ABSOLUTELY hands down worth every penny!

I purchased the BOB Ironman stroller from a local REI store when I was pregnant in 2011. I questioned spending so much money but when comparing the BOB models among others, all reviews were favorable. Plus my husband said with the miles that I like to run it seemed like the best fit. It is now 2 years later. I have literally worn the tread off of the tires. I have been running with our son since he was 6mo old (with a head support system.) We run 3-4 times week, 4-8 miles a time. He often will fall asleep and the reclining ability of the seat for those times is a nice feature. The huge mesh pocket on the back is great for when he hands me his bottle when he is finished, or his sunglasses, etc. I would totally also recommend if you run in sketchy weather, GET THE WEATHERSHIELD as well. Again, great investment and we ran all winter with that. (and headlamps!) Also have a little blinking tail light kit and headlight kit.

Some people complained in other reviews about the fixed wheel. I haven't had any experience with any other kind of running stroller so I really can't say one way or the other on that. I do know that it's a great upper body work out to turn corners by popping wheelies (son loves it!) and it's nice to have the stroller go in a straight line as I am running down the street.

Money well spent!!

I waited a while to write this review to make sure this stroller was worth what it cost. After using a horrible running stroller for close to 6 months the difference between the two is night and day. At first I thought all running strollers where created equal until I put my daughter in this one. It is extremely easy to set up and as far as I know it is comfortable for my daughter. This stroller was made for the long haul. 10+ miles running with this stroller is simple and it seems like you're pushing nothing at all. This running stroller is super sturdy and with the stationary front wheel you never have to worry about running without locking the front caster. This stroller was made for those of us who run long and fast. The shocks on this stroller take a lot of the impact off the baby and the 5 point harness ensures they don't fly out of it.

If I have to list any cons this stroller doesn't come with any compartments for holding items such as a water bottle or a phone. I typically don't run with these items but when you are using this stroller as an everyday stroller it is helpful to have these features. I did purchase the optional water bottle holder for $20 from BOB.

Solid and Easy to push

I debated jogging strollers for a long time, looked at many different strollers and was even advised against this one because of the fixed wheel, but, because it was by far the lightest and we have another stroller for for trips to the mall and things like that, I got this one anyway. So glad that I did! It is way easier than I thought that it would be, I don't even need to lift the wheel around most corners while I am jogging, I do when walking. If you need a stroller dedicated to jogging, this is the one to get!

Makes me want to run more!

I bought this stroller so my wife and I could run together. It turns out to be a good way to get the baby to nap in the afternoon as well. Now running is a great family event. It's a lot easier to move than one would think with a fixed wheel in the front. Running up hills is a pain but after training with it I can tell that my endurance and speed have improved when I run up hills san stroller. I love this thing. It's been one of the best baby items we've bought so far!

The Cadillac

I made the mistake of buying a less expensive stroller under the impression it would be sufficient for running and training. I was wrong and found myself once again looking for jogging strollers. My search once again brought me back to BOB. I had looked at some other brands, but most reviews pointed to the Ironmam. I'm glad I chose this stroller. It's extremely light and smooth. I would be comfortable pushing this on 2 hour training runs.

Negative Reviews:

Not What I Hoped For

I had high hopes for this jogger, as my last one needed to be retired after 13 years and 5 children. I choose the Ironman as opposed to the one with the swivel wheel, because I mostly use it to walk/jog on our mountainous off-road property. It seemed that the fixed wheel would hold up better, as I had found with my previous work-horse jogger. Using the Ironman with my 5 month old, it worked terrifc and I was pretty pleased with it. This weekend, however, I put my two year old in it and did a 5K in a paved city park. It was very difficult to lift the front wheel to turn, due to the extra weight. Now, I'm very disappointed and will hold onto my previous jogger, realizing what a treasure it is-- sure wish they still made them!
