| I run pretty regularly with a standard run being in the 5-7 mile range. This was our second jogging stroller--our first was a Chariot Cougar 1, which I convinced myself didn't ride as well as would a dedicated jogging stroller. Running with the BoB for a few months left me more appreciative of the Cougar's merits though. The BoB is very solidly constructed, harness well-designed, folds very nicely, and conveys a general sense of Quality. But out on the road, it doesn't really perform. It doesn't track all that well--the wheelbase is too short, the wheels too small, and the kid rides too high for really easy running [in my opinion]. For a stroller that's supposedly oriented toward use on trails, these defects are particularly problematic--after a few frustrating excursions, I wound up using it exclusively on-road. After selling off the BoB (I think we owned it about a year), we purchased a well-used Baby Jogger which I felt outperformed it. When it came time to purchase a double, we went with the double Chariot and have been quite happy with it. If what you're looking for is a well-built, easily-stowable stroller that you're going to keep on pavement and probably not run more than a couple miles with, the BoB may be just your thing. At this pricepoint, however, I think there are better options. | |
