| This is my first pair of Born shoes, although I have been looking at purchasing a pair for some time because their styles appeal to me. The Fairfield (surely Born could have come up with a less boring model name) is a nice shoe; it is very well padded inside. I agree with other reviewers who described the feel as like having your foot wrapped in pillows. My shoes are still on the new side and they feel a bit tight at first, but after a few minutes wearing the shoe it seems to loosen up and is very comfortable. The leather in the shoe is substantial, and I think it will perhaps require a little longer than usual to break-in and relax the shoe, but this is not a bad thing. The shoes do squeak just a little bit when I walk, but I am hoping this is temporary. I like the shoes, and would buy them again. Once again Zappos service is second to none - great job! | |

| I like this shoe, I just wish it liked me. I found that it fit true to size and width, was light (a good thing for a casual dress shoe), and for the most part was well made. It’s just that both pairs of size 12 I tried on felt uneven in the amount of cushion in the footbed. Don’t get me wrong - the cushioning is amazing, like little pillows - but the left shoe felt like it had less. It actually made a "poof" sound with each step, a sound that was not made by the right shoe. I’d love to try Borns again because of their style and otherwise great quality, but I’m a little put off that each shoe I tried seemed to be defective. | Born Shoes - Love Born shoes! Have to be the best fitting and most comfortable shoe I have every worn. I purchase all them from Zappos, love the service and shipping is always prompt. | Born Shoes - I ordered these shoes for my son. He thought they were great. He said they were very comfortable and nice looking shoes. The construction of the shoe is very nice. You can never go wrong with Born Shoes. Also, Zappos service is excellent. | |

| Amazing comfort - Great shoe! With each step it’s like a soft thumb pressing into your sole. Feels nice to walk. Don’t mind being on my feet so much. It’s kind of like having an anti-fatigue mat in your shoe. Love it! | |

| Extreme Comfort - I have worn several styles of born shoes, but none as comfortable as the Fairfield. It feels as if you are walking on pillows, and I receive compliments on the look of the shoes. | |
