Easy and Trouble Free

This is my second Bradley Original Smoker. My first one's door hinges fell apart after 6 years but I duct taped the whole thing and it works awesome. Got a new one due to the embarrassment the duct taped one caused for my kids. I routinely smoke 6 chickens at a time or prime rib (3-6 bone in) with this bad boy. It is truly a "set it and forget it" machine. Almost zero maintenance and only an occasional check of the meat with a thermometer is needed until you hit goal temp. I also cold smoke cheeses when the outside temp is below 60 degrees with great results. I recommend this smoker without hesitation to amateurs and experts alike. It is a relaxed smoking experience that is a quite durable and reliable product. My 6 yo smoker has required no replacement parts and the door hinge was a failure from rough handling on 3 occasions that couldn't be helped. I especially love the wide variety of wood choices available with my favorite being hickory and apple. I like alder wood if a mild flavor is desired and mesquite when i want a more biting flavor. Good Stuff!

Bradley Smoker is a great product

I would reccomentd the bradley original smoker it is a grat product, however i would recommend spendinfg a little more money and going with the digital if you are going to be using the smoker alot, it is a pain getting the temp. set right where it needs to be, once you have it set its good. Using the pucks are great, you dont have to wonder if the 'wood chips" are out with the auto feeding mechinism, there for you dont have to open the smoker door and loose all your heat. I would also reccomend getting a digital meat thermometer, so you dont have to open the door to check meat temp, and doneness all the time. Be aware that in cold air temps, it is hard to get smoker up to temp, but that is with all smokers in this price range. Hope this is helpful

Negative Reviews:

Eagerly set up my Christmas gift to season it. Produced smoke, pucks fed. Main burner didnt work. Communicated with Cabelas and Bradley. Got the main burner to work feeding the power cord directly to it. Wont stay on when smoke unit used. Eats pucks continously heater working or not. Returing the unit to Cabelas tomorrow. Wondering if I should try the digital smoker or give up on Bradley.

Broke after 3 uses

The biscuit heater element broke on the third use. So much for smoked pheasant during the NFL playoffs. I will be contacting Bradley to see how to get it fixed.
