It feels like such a waste when your hiking socks are perfectly fine except the toes are totally worn through. Bridgedale makes its 2 Pair Lightweight Endurance Trail Hiker Socks with reinforced heel and toe areas. Highly resistant terry loops on the insides of these socks make that cushy, comfortable, new-sock feeling last, and the combination of wool, nylon, polypropylene, and Lycra lets your feet breathe, adds a bit of warmth, and naturally blocks odors.

I love these things. Brought 2 pair for a week long trek and they were never too hot and always very comfortable. I've been wearing them several days a week since and they've shown no wear.

Loved it, i had never hiked on special socks before, always wore just cotton. These are waaaay more comfortable and yeah, I stayed dry even in the really hot winter of Rio de Janeiro (95F)

These socks are worth it for two pair, especially off of SAC for about $13. I have worn these on a couple of spring hikes outside of Tucson, AZ and have been very comfortable.

I like these socks a lot. Good quality, they feel good. Yet they are still a bit too heavyweight for me to wear in warmer weather. I would call these a midweight sock.

I wore these on a 20 mile hike and they were great. No blisters, or sweaty feet. I would definitely reccomend buying these.

Definately lightweight

These are lighter than other "light-weight" hiking socks I've had - no clue how another reviewer could classify these as mid-weight. They are comfy and keep your feet relatively dry, but honestly I'd only buy them at SAC price - they are just so-so for me. If you are a thin sock type of person, these probably are great but I like more cushion even in a light hiker. I used to swear by Bridgedale's and didn't care for Smartwool's but now it's the opposite - the comfort factor and plushness of the Bridgedale hiker and ski socks I've bought over the last couple of years doesn't seem to match up with what I experienced with earlier pairs I purchased - while I've found Smartwool's have got a lot better.

Look good, I doubt they will last

I have worn these on several hikes. Unfortunately, they are starting to unravel at the top. I have a number of pairs of other Bridgedale socks which are bulletproof. These are made in China, although I don't know if that is unique to this model. I expected more in the "durability department."
