Good Heat Element

I purchased this for my home made smoker project and am very pleased with it so far. Only reason for 4 stars is I wish it had a bigger Wood Chip pan and some control on the heat. I used a Traffic Signal Cabinet to build my smoker and it is about 22 X 24 X 48. Initial run with no wind on moderate day was able to keep internal temp around 200 - 210 degrees. Used for first time on back deck with changing winds and 50 degree temps with 7 lb pork shoulder temps stayed just above the meat temp on the way up and stayed around 190 inside the cabinet. Turned out great.

1500 watt Brinkmann Element

I bought this for the 1938 refrigerator that I turned into a smoker. It works great! The smoker is well insulated and I have got the temperature up past 350 degrees with ease. I definitely recommend this electric element for this type of application.

Hot Smoker!

First heating element ran very HOT. Not like the 220° as advertised, more like almost 300°(maxed out my smoker thermometer). Exchanged it for the exact same model, 6 months later in Prairie du Chien with NO HASSLE! Can't wait to try the new unit.
