Designed to satisfy a wide range of neutral runners who have a medium-to-high arch, this men's athletic shoe builds off the successes of the award-winning Ghost 4 and 5 styles, adding a breathable, waterproof GORE-TEX membrane so you can't use the weather as an excuse to stay in. An Element Mesh™ upper and lining keep you breathably cool. With Strobel construction for durability and flex, a biodegradable BioMoGo midsole and S-257 Cushsole for plush comfort, and Brooks DNA for a customized ride, the Brooks Ghost 6 GTX waterproof running shoe is destined to become a favorite year-round workout partner. Brooks Ghost 6 GTX Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

This is the waterproof gore-tex model of the Brooks Ghost 6 sneaker. The fit is a little snugger as the tongue is sewn in to keep it waterproof. Therefore there is less leeway to loosen it. With that said, it fits perfectly with a thinner athletic sock, at 1/2 size larger, which is usual for me anyway with Brooks. The style is a slightly more subdued green, as opposed to Brooks wild colors, yet it is bright and attractive. I added a two tone black and neon green lace from Road Runners and it brightened up the look, picking up the green rather than the black with the black/white laces that came with the sneaker. I am not a runner but rather used the sneaker for the gym and just walking around, so I cannot comment on its running attributes. It does feel quite comfortable and supportive, but I also use my own orthodic. The original footbed was comfortable and felt great too. I would buy this again even tho it is a bit expensive.

This is a great shoe. Very similar to the earlier Ghost models, they fit closely to my feet with zero slippage when I run. They are also lightweight but are rugged and strong. I have run through multiple pairs of these shoes over the years and they are my favorite. I run half-marathons!

Great neutral running shoe. Great for winter, trail, or wet weather running. Very warm for sub zero days. Adequate heel height. Changed from Saucony to ghost 6 as the Saucony reduced the heel height over time causing achillies and heel pain. Ghost 6 feels great.

Negative Reviews:

I did not like these shoes at all. They don't look very good, they have a ton of cushioning but no stability whatsoever so if you step on anything other than perfectly level ground you role your ankle. Get the Asics GT2000's much better shoes.
