Brooks Dyad 7 Reviews:

We think that running faster by buying lighter running shoes is all that is important. Just read Runners World and low weight is "good" and heavy is "bad". And so all the shoes are getting lighter and lighter to help feed this fiction. Thanks to Brooks for its willingness to buck this trend with this awesome shoe, in spite of shortsighted criticism from Runners World for producing a heavy shoe. I wouldn't shave a single ounce off this shoe, as every ounce has a purpose. The built up cushioning and pods underneath the arch is a godsend to my achy arches and heels. The heel counter is stiff, and well built overlays keeps my foot snug in place. The insole is one that you would normally go buy to replace the cheap one in your light shoe. I'm tempted to buy some extra pairs before pressure builds on Brooks to build the wrong shoe to appease our single minded desire to run faster and faster. A healthy body and feet are important too.

I'm a 245 pound guy who runs, so finding the right shoe was important. The people at the running store recommended the Dyad for its extra cushioning. They said there was none better. I am a believer! I have bought no less than seven pairs of these over the past five years, maybe eight. I tried branching out with and Asics shoe and it didn't last half as long. Brooks Dyad is the perfect shoe for my big body. I have never had a single problem with them. Maybe they lose a point for style but who really cares? Recommended for the "Clydesdales" of the running world.

This is my first pair of Brooks coming from New Balance. I am very pleased with the purchase and transition. The soles seem to be wearing a bit better than New Balance which I chewed through pretty quickly. The cushioning is soft without being spongey. To my unprofessional eyes, they run just a bit smaller and narrower than New Balance of equivalent size and width (I have wide feet at 2E). But your mileage may vary. Overall, these are highly recommended.

It is difficult for high-arched supinators like me to find a shoe that addresses our issues. Most shoes are for pronators. These shoes do the trick - feel comfortable and sturdy and good on my feet.

Great shoe, true to size. Have very wide foot, very comfortable. Have gotten numerous compliments about how good looking the shoe is. Quality materials and good workmanship. I love the shoe.
