Great family tent

I bought mine just last August (2012) and camped in it for a week. I set it up by myself in under 30 minutes, went through a storm so bad that, out of concern, I checked on other tent campers that night. Rain and high winds blew down several tents and/or blew off their rain flies. It was that bad. I ended up letting 4 or 5 people stay in my tent that night. All were not only thankful but impressed with the tent. It not only stayed dry but held up to the high winds well. I am a very experienced camper and admittedly that helped but the tent did what I had hoped it would through a very bad storm. Stake it down securely and I am sure it will do the same. The quality in material and workmanship is fine (I ended up fixing a couple of zippers on others but not mine). Overall, it's a great family tent with a nice design.

Works for me.

Very simple to set up. I had a second person helping. It would be tough to do alone, but it could be done. Vents well and packs supprisingly small for a tent this size. It is a very good tent for the price. Zippers are good but not the heaviest. Used it in the rain and stayed nice and dry as well. I would buy it again.

not sturdy for wind

First, I would like to say I love the tent for the reasons of size, looks, price, and packability. I camped in an area north of Evanston, Wyoming right on the Utah border and the wind was a bit much at times. I have experienced much stronger winds with lesser tents and faired well. This tent laid down and completely collapsed while springing back up again and again. I have never seen anything like it. The wind died down after a while and we were great the remainder of the trip. This tent looks nice, etc, but don't count on it to stand strong when you need it to. This is just a simple mans observation. I wouldn't buy it again, but will deal with it for now.
