" It will get you there and home again"

Rating:****
I've been using this compass for compass and map
route finding around my area in western Wyoming.
I like to set it and then look only at the compass
bearing, doing so without looking up at a landmark
to guide me.I am pleasantly surprised at how close I can come to my destination using this compass. The declination setting feature is a very
nice feature and one that I would not go without on a future compass purchase. This feature is well worth the extra cost. This is a reliable and accurate instrument.

"Precision Instrument"

Rating:*****
It's a zonking great compass. The only complaint I might have about the compass is that it's a bit of overkill but it's super nice and I don't regret getting it for a second. The string it comes with kept it on my backpack just fine and while I was following a very well marked trail with a lot of tree cover I liked being able to pop open the cover and make sure I knew were I was. The needle moves fast and free and the entire instrument just feels well crafted and precise.

solid, accurate compass

Rating:*****
I have used this compass for backcountry navigation and it has always gotten me where I wanted to go. The flip mirror (which doubles as my emergency signal mirror and shaving mirror) improves accuracy. The magnetic needle, orienting arrow, and index line are all glow-in-the-dark, which I found surprisingly very handy. I love being able to set declination, too...this compass has it all. I lost my original on a trip and liked it so much I bought it again. A compass is a must for any backpacker; buy this one!

Great Compass

Rating:****

Awesome compass, definitely one of my favourite ones to use. Super simple to sight with, easy to read, just great. The UTM grids on the baseplate are super handy for finding your location on said UTM system. The one thing I find would be useful would be a bottom sighting hole for use with the slope meter for more accurate slope readings.

"Great all around compass"

Rating:*****
The compass is a great buy. I use it while hiking or going climbing. Very useful, large enough to measure almost any mile on map, yet small enough to keep it compact the lanyard that it comes I attached to the front of my pack. This is an awesome product that I would reccommend to anybody

"There is a reason it is used by search and rescue members"

This compass is awesome. It is easy to use and comes with instructions for those who are less familiar with navigating. compact, lightweight, and worth every penny.
