"Almost as versitile as a headlamp and after a few trips, it's mandatory equipment for me."

| I picked up this little lantern and a carabiner to attach it inside my tent or anywhere else I need it. On one night hike I clipped it to the back of my pack so the group behind me could see and follow while I used my headlamp to light up the trail in front of me. It puts out a substantial amount of light for the size and weight I believe. However, this is my first light of its type, so I don't have much to compare it with. In addition to using it for both backpacking and car camping, I use it at home too when I want to read in bed and not wake up my spouse. 2 power settings give you the ability to get a ton of battery life. "THIS IS WELL WORTH THE MONEY FOR LONGER HIKING TRIPS" | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT. THE BATTERY LIFE IS GREAT. I CAN GO ON MULTIPLE TRIPS WITH ONE SET OF BATTERIES. ITS A NICE LIGHT WEIGHT LIGHT. IT PUTS OFF ENOUGH LIGHT TO LET ME DO ANYTHING I WANT IN THE DARK, BUT IT ISN'T OBCENLY BRIGHT. THE XB VERSION IS BRIGHTER BUT ONLY 1 FIFTH THE BURN TIME ON A SET OF BATTERIES. FOR THE AVID HIKER WHO IS WEIGHT CONCIOUS OF HIS/HER BACKPACK, THIS IS THE LIGHT TO GET. | |

"Decent lantern, a little heavy"

| This lantern throws a good amount of light, but uses four AA batteries to do so, making the total package one better for car camping than backpacking. | |
