Love this

I bought this several years ago with my dividend. I like that it cradles my eyes without pressure. It does let in some light around the nose area but I have found that if I pull the mask down a bit it helps. If you do not open your eyes and look down while it is on, the little bit of light is not there. Like another reviewer said, if your eyes are closed you pretty much don't notice it.

I've worn this several times and hand-washed it too. Gotta say that it does not wash well or hold up after the wash. When I first got it, I kept it in the plastic case so that it would hold its shape but I lost that and now this floats around on my bed. After all this time the stitching at the top of the mask has come undone so now the mask is kind of loose. The elastic strap stretches out after a while and is loose too but since I have had it for at least 6 years I can't complain. Gonna get a new one as soon as I can afford it (cash poor).

Doesn't push on your eyes

Most masks, even high-quality ones, press on your eyelids while you are wearing them, which drives me crazy. This mask uses soft foam (a bit like the padding in a padded bra) to form a dome over each eye, keeping the mask away from your eyeballs.
As a light-blocker, this mask is about as good as most masks. It doesn't adapt to differently-shaped faces very well, so some light tends to get through around the sides of your nose. I've also found that the strap has a surface that is slightly more grippy on a pillow or sheet than it is on your head. This can make the mask move out of position as you move around while sleeping on your side.

Great shape! Bad lining.

I use night masks every night (unfortunately) so I am well versed in what is out there. I love the shape of this mask - it gives your eyes and lashes some room. But my biggest complaint is that the lining on the inside comes off after not too long - but it doesn't come all of the way off - it stays attached to the elastic bands so it is really just annoying. But since I like the shape and the fact that it blocks the light well, I keep buying new ones. I am on my 3rd or 4th now. I'll keep buying them but I hope that they will fix this defect.

works and feels great -- stock up!

I've used the 40 Blinks every night for over 5 years now. I work at a telescope, which means sleeping during the day often, and this mask keeps out even bright sunlight well enough to sleep soundly. I'm always recommending these to my colleagues and friends.

I've only had to replace the mask twice - the first time when the outer material peeled away from the foam (the company replaced it for free) and now the elastic is too stretched out to velcro in a useful position. Hence one star rating off for not lasting forever (but what does?)

A great buy! Great for yourself and gifts too.

Nice eye mask

I bought this in the Dahlia print. The print is definitely cute and the mask covers the eyes well. The fabric is smooth, and you really can open your eyes without brushing your eyelashes on the inside. There's a little space where light can show through around the nose, but that can be fixed with a little arranging. The only reason I give this 4 instead of 5 is because of the elastic. It's just a little too short, so the velcro on the back is exposed.

The Best I've Ever Used!

I work overnights and I have used all sorts of masks over the years to help me sleep during the day. This mask is the best I've ever used. It is comfortable, breathable, fits the face nicely, blocks out all light, and is more durable than others. The strap is adjustable, fairly secure, and hasn't stretched out after a couple months of use. I have found no faults with this product and I would strongly recommend it to all.

Comfortable and Effective

For two weeks this summer, my wife and I stayed in a white fabric tent cabin well above the arctic circle. It was always light enough to read in bed, which would normally interfer with my sleeep. With these we slept soundly. They would also be useful if going to bed early before an early start for a climb or for sleeping on a bus or train.

Great Mask!

I have been using eye masks pretty much every night for the last 3 years to successfully sleep better, so I consider myself an avid masker. I've tried many different types/brands and this is by far the best for comfort AND value. I'm finally done shopping around -- this is the one I'll be using from now on.

Comfortable and Reliable Mask

This mask cradles your face without preventing air flow. Much better coverage than standard eye masks (those seem wimpy once you use the Bucky mask). I sleep so much better with this mask because everything seems dark. Use this for travel, at home, or when you need to take a short nap.

Just like night!

This was great for traveling in the car, as well as taking naps at home. It blocks out light and is very lightweight!

Negative Reviews:

After a year it's Kapput!

I bought 1 for me & 1 for my mom & after about 8 months we both started commenting that the fabric on both sides started to peel off the mask. The velcro closure is bulky & uncomfortable. A lot of light comes in around the nose. Not the best one I've encountered.

Doesn't fit small heads well

I was excited to try this mask, but it didn't fit my head at all, and left large gaps near the nose which let lots of light in. Try before you buy.

Neutral Reviews:

Great, but not durable

Great sleep mask design, super light and doesn't touch the eyes/eyelashes. Very easy to sleep with them on.

However, the construction is terrible as another reviewer mentioned: the inner lining becomes detached and flaps around loose. It can be a bit distracting when trying to sleep. If it weren't for this major flaw, this would be a 5 star sleep mask.
