Best Travel Pillow I've Owned

I've owned this pillow for about four years and have used it on numerous flights. The pillow is super quick to inflate and deflate. Folds up into a very small self-pocket. That self-pocket then flips back over and around the end of the pillow which has the inflation valve -- covering up the valve with soft fabric. It has lasted well, looks brand new still. Unlike other inflatable pillows that seem "hard" - this one feels just as good as a real pillow because it has some "give" to it and it's easy to make small adjustments to the air pressure. I find that if I turn the smaller side around so that it's under my chin sort of and the big part supports my head/cheek, I have a perfectly supported sleeping position. The drawstring allows me to tighten it up so that it stays in position while I doze. A side note, I also use it to hold my iPhone in place to watch movies and it's a perfect cup holder too. Love it and would buy another in a heartbeat. Can't travel without it.

Best Air Pillow Ever!!!

This is the air pillow to buy for air travel! I tried several air pillows, and this is by far the best and most comfortable. Very soft material, very lightweight compared to others on the market. A big plus is that it isn't too snug on the neck, like a couple of other brands that constrict the neck. I can't agree at all with goodrichodyssey's negative comments. (Maybe s/he didn't know how to use it?) The pillow folds up into the smallest size I've seen on the market. I'd buy this again! (My husband bought another one, but coveted mine on our trip. When we returned, he bought a Bucky, too.) I give this my highest recommendation!

Best airplane pillow ever

Bought this for long-distance red eye travel across country and to Europe. It has a great set of features:
- collapsible, it fits in my Bose headphone case
- inflates easily, just a quick puff and its ready
- narrow in the back, so you can use it in a airplane seat
- tapered design. This is a cool feature, the pillow is different thicknesses all the way around, so if you need a little "more" or "less", you can rotate it to just the right position
- front cord. Really works to keep the pillow end together so that your head doesn't flop over.
- soft cover

You can't go wrong getting this pillow

Excellent pillow for smaller heads

I've had Bucky Gusto pillow for 2 years and have used it on 6 transcontinental flights and numerous shorter flights. The pillow is very comfortable and I appreciate having the choice of the two different sized ends. The polar fleece cover is fluffy and soft and doesn't get damp like some travel pillows. I'm 5'4" tall and other travel pillows have tended to be too large. The BG is just the right size.

As a con, the fleece cover seams started to go out recently. They were easy to re-sew, though.

Loving this travel pillow!

I love traveling with this pillow. It folds up into a little pocket so it's easy to store/pack. It just takes a little air to inflate and you've got your self a comfortable pillow. Also, the fabric is super soft and it doesn't choke you around the neck. I would recommend this pillow to anyone!

Negative Reviews:

I fail to see why this pillow gets rave

No matter which way I twist this pillow, it doesn't seem to give any support. The thinner end leaves my neck achy from falling too far over to the side. The thicker end is too small to give enough surface area to get comfortable. The only way I found this neck pillow to be any good was to take down my tray table on the plane, put the neck pillow on the tray and plonk my head on top of it. It is nice and soft though. Needs an all-around thicker version.

Not great

I bought one of these and a cheaper, traditional travel pillow from REI for a recent trip. I thought my girlfriend and I would be fighting over this one b/c of the soft cover but the non-symetrical design just doesn't work. The skinny side doesn't provide enough support and let's your head "flop" as soon as you drift off. Not to mention the price of this thing is way too much for what it is. Go with the cheaper basic inflatable U shaped travel pillow.

Returning This Product

We purchased these to replace the standard travel pillows for a long trip. We tried to use them as little as we could because of how bad they felt. When we came back to the states returned to REI.

Very Poor Experience

Purcased the product to use on long air line flight. It would not stay inflated, no matter what I tried. It was of absolutely no use. Would not recommend, and would never purchase again.

won't hold air

returned the product because it leaked air and was flat in about an hour

two strikes!

The odd shape is what makes it comfortable. Easy to roll and pack even when hurrying to deplane. Packs small. First two purchases have proved to be poorly constructed. If a third doesn't perform I'll give in and search for an alternate product.
