Monkey Fist

I have used these to make great monkey fists for throwing lines. I have seen some others selling these made out of chrome steel bearings. These would rust by barely being in the marine environment let alone accidentally getting doused by sea water. I would really love to come across some 8 - 16oz cannon ball TUNGSTEN sinkers. They would be environmentally friendly, personally less toxic and make for a more compact monkeys fist. Looking forward to the day when I can find this.

Effective

Bought these to use for weighting down a tarp covering a Jeep I'm working on. They just the right weight to keep the tarp from blowing off but not so heavy that I can't fold back the tarp easily. Attatching one at each grommet gave me the perfect tarp for my Jeep. And much more attractive than cinder blocks! My neighbor liked it so much he just made himself a weighted tarp for the mustang he's working on.

Did Exactly as I Hoped it would

I used these sinker balls to weigh down my yarn after spinning and dying it. Worked great. I also use a fishing line counter to measure the length of the yarn. Who would have thought fishing products would have been so helpful for my crafting???
