Burley Encore Bike Trailer Reviews:

Makes the world more accessible by bike

If you have small kids, you'll know it's difficult to go anywhere on a bike without some kind of strategy. We considered child seats that mount up high on the bike, some by the handle bars, some over the back tire. It seemed to us that these solutions were riskier than the trailer types due to distance from the ground. I feel like my daughter is really safe in her Encore trailer. She's belted in with a 5-point restraint and the structure of the Encore is like a sturdy roll cage. Once you install the hitch to your rear hub (easy) attaching and removing the trailer is easy as well, just a pin and a safety strap. Set up and break down are simple, and the Encore's folded-up footprint is fairly small if standing up. Another feature we're really happy with is space. There is a cargo section in the rear, with functional space for the diaper bag, extra layers, groceries, or even a couple of growlers from the local brewery. It makes a bike trip to the park, restaurant or grocery store with kids so much more accessible! It also makes for a great workout. Though it's fairly light, the trailer, plus baby, plus cargo, plus extra wind drag makes for hard charging uphill and in any kind of wind. It's not a cheap purchase, but I'm impressed with build quality and am confident we'll be using the Encore for many years to come.

I love it!

I use this to take trips around town with my 10 month old daughter. She is a little bit small for it still. But the straps are adjustable and she can sit in the middle or on either side. There are pockets for toys, snacks, bottles, etc. There is a compartment behind the seat for a diaperbag, picnic, etc. I have even gone grocery shopping with it several times. If the weather is nice and I need to get someplace without a tight time schedule, I take my bike with my baby. I have nothing bad to say about it. It was fine on hills, gravel paths, paved trails and city streets. It's my first purchase of it's kind so I cannot say anything in comparison to other trailers like it. However, I figured it was worth the investment because we will have youngsters around that will fit in the trailer for the next 8-12 years or more! It also folds up easily and will fit in my Scion xA! It's my bike that is the trouble there.

Burley does it again

Purchased the 2013, for the new features and the new colors! The new parking brake works great and now it doesn't press against the tires anymore. Also really like the fact that you can lay down the seats for hauling other things(which is great for farmers markets, and groceries). Pulling my son is cake with the encore! Honestly didn't see much difference between the delight vs the encore(other than the inch of shoulder room, and suspension) but that wasn't worth the extra cash.
If you buy the encore you won't be disappointed!

Love It!

After a lot of research, I decided on the Encore because of the options offered for a more affordable price. It was easy to put together and easy to adjust for our twin boys. They love it and get so excited every time we put them in. I love it too, easy to maneuver and I barely notice the difference with the trailer attached. =)
