The Burton Genesis EST Snowboard Binding is engineered from to bottom for a better ride. The Kickback Hammock actually creates a suspension system, reducing vibration without compromising response. The Genesis Binding is hinged where the heelcup meets the base. This allows your foot to flex more side-to-side, for natural foot roll and easier ollies. Since you'll surely be making big landings on the Genesis, the SHREDBED 3.0 footbed cushions against impact and vibration. As always, Burton's EST setup allows for unlimited stance customization.

The Burton Genesis EST binding is aptly named, in that it's been the first to receive a bunch of Burton's best tech. It all started with the Hammock Hi-Back, which employs a suspension cradle to give you tons of heel-edge control, blended with way more lateral freedom than you're used to, for a loose style and tweaked grabs. The ShredBED 3.0 removable pad take advantage of Burton's The Channel mounting system for unrestricted board feel with tons of padding to smooth out harsh landings. For this year it's updated with Hammockstrap heel straps, which forgoes the usual heavy padding in favor of a rubberized web that saves weight and is way more comfortable. That makes them an ideal match for the Gettagrip Capstrap toe straps. It all adds up to a more secure hold on your boot for better response without compromising comfort or freedom.

The Burton guy at the demo tent, said it best - it's like angels carrying your feet. These are probably the lightest bindings I have ever ridden. The response on the Genocides was remarkable, the straps were super comfy despite their lack of padding. At first I was a little wary of the new "Kickback Highback". After the first lap...sold. It cuts out the chatter and vibration when riding rougher terrain, or those choppy days. Literally like suspension for your feet. Thanks Burton for another good product.

I used the 2013 model last season with my Sherlock and loved it. Nice and light, simple, not too much cushion but more comfy then most other bindings I've ridden. Plenty of control and great adjustability. The hinge system is super sick giving it a more skatey feel and making it easier to ollie, press, butter, etc. without having to sacrifice your high-back angles too much.

I have really been enjoying these binders! They feel like a cloud for your foot. The hammock highback grabs your boot and gives you a nice combo of support and flex. Overall it is great freeride/ all mtn binder.
