Burton 2.5 Layer Slick Jacket

Men's Clothing > Jackets & VestsRated: ***** by 7 reviews.

Dogfunk

The Burton 2.5 Layer Slick Jacket takes a fresh approach to the classic slicker shell, and keeps you drier than a stray biscuit in the back of the breadbox. Nearly three layers of Burton's patented Dryride Durashell coated fabric repel water like your breath repels ladies, so you know it's effective. Waterproof zippers and fully taped seams only add to the H2O dissing, and adjustable cuffs and a slim cut give you the fit you need to not feel like you're wearing a trashbag poncho. Remember that the Slick Jacket is only a shell, so you'll need some proper layering underneath to stay warm.

What are you guys talking about?

Being thin doesn't mean it's not meant for snowboarding. I'd say not having a powder skirt is more indicative of that. It's a shell. It's meant to be thin. It won't be warm on it's own with the exception of being able to cut out the wind. You need to add layers. Depending on size you can fit 3 shirts under it or a hoody or whatever. However, I would suggest against all of that if any of it is cotton. Go synthetic. And what you layer doesn't need to zip in to the liner. Unless you really need to have it as one when you take it off.

This jacket is awesome. I have had it for one season and it is the perfect jacket for sunny days. It is a thin shell but extremely waterproof so you can stay dry and cool on those hotter days. And even with how thin it is, I haven't ripped it once. It also has an internal audio pocket. Overall great buy for when it's not too cold. It can be used as a street jacket too, or for hiking because of how thin it is. It can be stowed easy in a back pack.

not for showboarding but an amazing RAIN jacket!

Rating:*****

This is not a snowboard jacket, it says so in the description, read people. I own 4 Burton snowboarding jackets and this is not for riding. This jacket is for camping hiking or living in the rain, healed up amazing in southern Ontario during our our rainiest summer to date:)! sizes a little funny. I am 6'1/2" and 170lb and the M fits perfect. Burton quality and warranty is unmatched as well, if they have your sizeget buy it now, you won't be disappointed later.

Seams thin but could be a good thing

Rating:***

I like that it is thin I just wear a hoodie underneath and I'm good I just get afraid of ripping it and if i do you get what you pay for although due to the slim fit if you want to wear more than a shirt and a hoodie you'll have to go up in a size. or if you got a beer gut LOL. I found it was only a bit small around my butt. Living in California this is the most i would Ever need and It feels like it will take a downpour with NP at all.

description inaccurate

Rating:***

The description says it has "2 Hand, 2 chest, 1 internal" pocket. It DOES NOT have 2 hand pockets, only 2 chest and one internal. I ordered it but returned it when I tried it on and realized the mistake. I like hand pockets down on my sides, not just on my chest. I ordered a large and am a pretty big guy (6ft, 220lbs), and it fit pretty loose on me. It looks like a great jacket and probably has good performance in wet weather, but it just wasn't right for me.
