My son is 10 and skinny - 50 pounds a little over 4 feet tall. We always have trouble buying him pants - he usually wears size 8 in jeans and the waist is still large - he's a rocker not a homie. Anyways we got him these boys (not youth) cargo pants for riding in a size small (according to suggested sizing from Burton's website). They fit well in the waist with the velcro adjusters but wouldn't you know it they're a little on the short side when worn right at the waist. I guess it's better than his size smalls from ONeill that he can do up under his arm pits and they still slip under his boots when he walks. All in all the cargos in irish green look sharp and keep him dry plus the bottoms won't get wet when he walks through puddles on the way to the lift in the spring. | |

My son loves these pants and so do I. Although they run slightly larger than his usual size, they are equipped with a velcro waist inside to give him a really good fit. There are lots of zippered pockets. He said they kept him warm without being bulky. | |

| My son is 11 loves to freestyle ski and loves Burton. These pants are warm and styling. They fit well. He has the large and is 5' tall. This is his second pair of Burton cargo pants so they must be good. The pockets are great. | |

When my son wore these for the first time, he came back from the slopes SOAKED!! At first I assumed he was just on his bum all day, but after taking him out myself, I realized the pants were not waterproof. I had to go out and buy some waterproofing wash & spray, which worked. I was very surprised at the lack of water repellancy. Little ones are on their bums, more often than adults. I wish their products were made with the same quality. | |
