Cloak and dagger meets Snowbird, Utah in the Burton Women’s Cherish Jacket. This trenchcoat-esque waterproof Burton coat hangs a little low and offers ample room for spinning your way through the air. Thermacore insulation keeps you warm as you spy foreign operatives poaching the treelines, and zippered cuff gussets and a waist gaiter block snow from penetrating your perimeter as you give chase. A satin lining on the inside glides over your underlayers and mesh-lined Underarm zips allow heat to escape. - Fall 2008.

Good quality

Rating:****
This is a nice jacket, well-made and very, very warm. It has a perfect length and looks great with jeans. When fully zipped, the stand up collar protects your neck so that you can go without a scarf on less cold days. The outer fabric is waterproof, which makes this jacket an ideal companion in the rough New England weather. When I first saw it pictured online, I absolutely loved the tailoring. Once I tried it on, however, I was somewhat disappointed: it is too roomy and the sleeves are too wide and too long (I am 5foot6 and 130 lbs). I wish it had a drawstring to adjust the waist! I ordered the medium to allow for layering, but will return it and try the small.

Beautiful Coat

Rating:*****
Just received in chestnut color and am very pleased. The quality and style is great. I wanted a coat that looked good for everyday, not just the slopes, and this coat is perfect. Doesn't look like the typical "ski" jacket. I usually have to size up because I have broad shoulders and very long arms but no need with this one. Nice room in shoulders and long sleeve length but still tailored in waist.

Strange Sizing

Rating:*****

At 5'6'' I am pretty much a medium in everything. I ordered the dark brown in medium and it was way too big. Also, the dark brown color looks better on the screen than in your hand. It's much lighter. Since there are no free returns with this site I won't be doing anymore shopping here.

Toasty Warm!

Rating:*****
This coat has been very durable in the wet conditions of the east coast. I'm looking forward to seeing how it will withstand the bitter cold of the coastal air. Radical!

Negative Reviews:

runs big!!

Rating:**

I usually wear a medium, but I ordered a large in this jacket. (sizing guide says L is a 35-36" chest. pretty small by my standards) To my dismay, i was swimming in the large and the sleeves were way too long (i'm 5'6"). also the buttons were kind of cheesy. I returned it.

Yuck.

Rating:*

I bought this coat last year. It is very ugly ( I got the chestnut cord). I have never worn it and am about to give it away.

A little disappointed

Rating:***

This jacket is cute (I bought the chocolate cord) but is snug around the hips and butt and the arm length is long. I am 5'3 and usually wear mediums but it looks like I have to get a large instead. I am definitely returning it.

seylavee at Backcountry.com Outlet on 02/26/2009

Runs pretty big

Rating:***

I'm 4'11 and I got the XS. It was way too big and way too long.
