Burton Chopper Snowboard - Junior's: The Burton Chopper is built to make sure kids stick with snowboarding. A combination of a catch free convex base and the softest flex out there make it fun for any weight rider to master perfect technique. The board is flat between the feet adding stability for balance and board control. The Riglet accessory attaches to the nose of the three smallest sizes to tow the wee one around until they're ready to rock bindings.
The Burton Chopper is the longest running kids snowboard on this earth, even the Flying Tomato rode a Chopper when he was a grom. This year the Chopper becomes even easier to ride than ever before which will make your kids first turns on snow more fun than pain. The Zero camber and Easy Rider base means that pressure is taken off the edges when the board is on a flat base meaning fewer winding toe edge catches and whiplash inducing heel edge catches.
Burton's Learn to Ride program is probably the most successful program on the planet for teaching little guys to shred, so the Big B took everything they've learned and applied it to the Chopper kids's snowboard to take the pain out of learning to shred. Featuring a Flat Top profile with an Easy Rider convex base, it's just about impossible to catch an edge. That means fewer faceplants, and more smiles. It's way easier to learn to snowboard when you're having fun, and between the relaxed feel and sweet graphics, that's not going to be a problem.
The chopper runs Burton's Flat Top profile with Easy Rider. Like you probably guessed, that means it's flat, with a touch of rocker in the tip and tail for a catch-free ride. The twin shape keeps little guys shredding ambidextrously and progressing like crazy, whether they're still doing the falling leaf, or they're working on switch turns. There's a Fly core that's profiled for lighter riders, and combined with the biax fiberglass construction, it yields and easy flex. The extruded base runs fast even if you don't wax it every day, and it's a piece of cake to repair should the need arise.
• Bend: Rocker - Rising rider or seasoned pro, keep your game high and tight on the Flat Top. A flat profile between the feet means stability, better balance, and continuous edge control. The tip and tail kick up with an early rise outside the feet for the catch-free, loose feeling you’d expect from rocker.
• Easy Rider gives riders an incredibly soft and forgiving board that’s virtually impossible to catch an edge on. With a convex base that lifts the edges off the snow and a super soft flex, these boards make it easy to learn balance and board control.
