Burton gave the Women's Commuter Jacket plenty of insulation with a Thermacore synthetic lining and a faux fur-rimmed hood. As temperatures plummet on the slopes and the snow starts to fly, the Commuter Jacket keeps you protected from the elements with a waterproof breathable Storm-lite 3.0 shell and critically taped seams. Burton outfitted this jacket with a stretch powder skirt to keep the snow out as you take advantage of the freshly fallen powder. - Fall 2007.
Exodus from the everyday hustle. The Burton Commuter Women's Snowboard Jacket.

so much more than i expected

i bought this in a small because the other burton jacket i have is xs and i kept getting snow down my pants. the small fits a bit looser in the arms for me but is DEF longer (i'm about 5'2"). i kind of wished i had gotten a medium so i wouldn't have to keep pulling it down whenever i fell, but the small definitely kept me much drier than the other xs jacket i have. also, i wasn't expecting the warmth i got from it - when i first got it, i was skeptical since it's really thin, almost windbreaker-like with a very thin insulator. i tried it out today in VT and was NOT disappointed! not to mention that i got it in white and it's not dirty at all after 12 hours of wearing/carrying it around. i am very pleased with this jacket and am really tempted to sell my other one ;)

the jacket isnt the best you could get, but for 90 dollars its a pretty good deal. like the other reveiws say, the hood is huge, but theres a pully thing in the back that tightens it so that it doesnt cover your face, the jacket WILL ride up unless you use the buttons to hook to your pants. and the armpit zip dont have any material so that when you open them you could get snow in your armpits if you fall. on the other hand, theres a lot of pockets including one for your ipod. its really warm considering how light it is, and people that complain that it makes you look fat, all jackets do that.

I got this jacket about a week ago, tried it on, it looks really good the only little thing is that the stomach just seems to be a tad bit too big. I'd get a smaller size.. I've noticed all Burton items come bigger then what they say. I got a size small and I should have gotten an x-small because of the stomach. But it is good to have room to move, I have plenty of that in this jacket. This jacket is very light but super warm. I'd definetly buy threw this site again, everything is delivered on the right time.

I liked this coat - I do not think it makes you look 'fat' as another review posted. I mean, its a coat, and its pretty sweet. I wear a runners zip up underneath, its lightweight but perfect for 30-45 degree weather. The hood is a little silly, but I wear a hat anyways. I like Burton gear, its top notch, and for the price this coat is awesome. Highly recommend for a cheap new jacket.

Good Jacket, Decent Price, Great Service

It came within the expected time frame, no issues with payment, price wasn't a GREAT deal, but its a Burton so you pay for the name, well made jacket...if you buy for someone 5'1 might go with a small instead of xtra small if you want it to run a little longer on the waist...slim fit was key for the woman who got this...didn't want a puffy jacket that made her look like a marshmallow.

This jacket looks very cute. I bought the white one off of this site. This jacket really pretty and lightweight. I'm sure the Commuter Jacket will be just as comfortable and cool. I love this jacket.

This jacket is awesome! I bought it in Dublin and I love it. The jacket is pretty thin, but extra warm. It's great because you get the warmth without all the puff.

Not What I expected | |

This jacket is cute, but it's really thin and the fur hood is too small. When I pull the hood over, it practically covers my whole face, blocking my view. The inside lining has ugly patterns, stripes in a lot of "girly" colors, pink, purple etc. I'm not really a girly girl so I didn't really like it. Also, it had an unflattering fit. I'm an average sized girl, 5'4, size 5 pants, 135 lbs and I got a medium. It fit, but it made me look like I had no curves. It actually made me look like I had a big belly! I bought it for $70, pretty cheap so, I'm still going to keep it.

so i liked this at first, it was good while doing some easy riding, but when i started going in the terrian park and doing some harder runs, it really began to bother me that it kept riding up, the buckles dont really help with the out layer of the jacket riding up, so i eventually just left the jacket unzipped, and then the zipper thingy broke off, so that i had to use a paper clip instead. basically, i wasted 90 dollars on this thing, now i have to get a new jacket again.

Not that great. | |

This jacket is not as cute on as it looks in pictures. It has a lot of storage for snacks or ipod etc...but it is very thin, and the hood definitely comes down too low on the face. The inner lining is pretty ugly - with girlie colors that don't even match. Also, the jacket doesn't fit well. It makes you look puffy, and pretty dorky. Doesn't have a cool, flattering, slightly loose fit. It makes you look like the michelin man, no matter how thin you are.

very thin | |

I was really surprised when I got this jacket, and found out that it is not exactly a winter jacket. It is very thin, and more of a windbreaker than a true winter jacket. It would be great for spring conditions, but definitely not enough to keep you warm on a cold day. It is also pretty short; I had to use the snaps to hook it up to my snowpants, or else it would expose part of my back when bending over.

not long on a tall girl | |

i got this jacket after reading the reviews that said it was on the longer side. i am 5'8" and it ended up being pretty short on me. I rode in it for one day and got annoyed with how much it was riding up, so i switched to wearing something else. it is a nice jacket overall though... its thin but super warm, and cute enough to wear out instead of on the mountain.

The jacket runs really short. If you're looking for an awesome, warm, snowboarding jacket this is not it. This is more of a "I look hot" in this jacket than practical.
