Burton Custom - The Custom board from Burton® is the one piece everyone tries to live up to. It's the ultimate ride with prime style.
Camber design allows for powerful turns and poppy precision. Acting like a suspension, camber creates a lively ride capable of slicing and stomping the entire mountain. The shape helps to distribute weight evenly over the entire length allowing for smooth, continuous edge control from tip to tail.
™ is created by overbuilding the board, allowing the Burton-exclusive technology to maximize pop and strength. It is then placed in a machine that breaks in the board for you. From first day to last, this board will maintain its flex, pop and performance.
Pro Tip™ design utilizes a tapered tip and tail thickness that reduces swing weight and creates a more playful feel.
The Channel (M6) has focused power through a central connection that evenly distributes energy from added rebound and snap, allowing you to micro-adjust your stance width and angles. The addition of M6 allows for compatibility with all Burton bindings, as well as bindings from select competitors.
From tip to tail, the Twin Flex provides perfect flex symmetry for a more balanced and controlled ride that's equally versatile regular or switch.
Carbon I-Beam™ is an ultralight carbon backbone that increases pop and longitudinal snap.
Triax™ Fiberglass provides versatile flex and excellent response from light to high impact shreds.
Directional Shape is the snowboard shape that is the most classic and versatile of the line and designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to provide excellent float, flow, and control on any terrain or condition.
Optimized for float in the freeride-focused boards, the Super Fly II™ Core provides better pop, strength, and a reduced weight with stronger and lighter woods that target specific areas of the core.
Squeezebox energizes the tip and tail by transferring energy downward from under your feet, adding snap when exiting a turn and ollieing.
are beneath your bindings and extend out slightly for tremendous edge-hold on hard, icy conditions. While Frostbite Edges are always hungry for hard-pack, they remain ever forgiving in softer conditions.
Lightning Bolts technology features energy transfer strands that improve board response without making it stiff.
Dualzone™ EGD™ has the wood grain positioned along the toe and heel edges, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for superior edge hold and added strength.
Sintered WFO base infuses a specially formulated wax deep into the pores of this extra-absorbent, high-density sintered material results in an ultra-durable base that stays wide open all season in any condition.

No question or doubts about it, the Burton Custom changed the game and continues to lead the pack. The Custom comes with a camber profile for the most pop and power. A directional shape provides you with all-mountain versatility with a twin flex for equal amounts of pop in the tips. Lightning Bolts underfoot deliver lightning edge-to-edge response so go nuts. Sintered WFO base is super wax absorbent and ultra fast. Carbon I-beam gives the Custom even more snap. Then there is the Squeezebox to deliver extra snap on top of all that. Sheesh, Burton might as well put rocket boosters on this thing. Frostbite edges provide much needed grip on ice and crud with edges that extend slightly further out underfoot. The Custom's Pro-Tip reduces swing weight for your spinning pleasure. Infinite Ride means the Burton Custom will ride the same from day 1 to day 100. Where other boards strive for recognition, the Custom needs no validation whatsoever. From peak-to-peak shredding down to hot park laps, the Custom is truly the board that does it all.

There Burton Custom is one of the true icons in snowboarding. It's been a favorite of pros and Joes alike for about two decades thanks to its versatility. The traditional camber lays down powerful turns and stomps landings, and the control gets a boost from Frostbite edges. A laundry list of tech keeps the weight down and the response way up, which helps dial in new tricks, whether it's a back three or a double cork. If you want a powerful ride for the entire mountain, the Custom just keeps getting better.

The traditional camber found on the Custom is a team favorite for its solid landings and powerful turns. The edge hold gets a boost from Frostbite edges, which places bumps in the sidecut underneath your feet, to give you even more grip. It has a mild 10mm of stance setback, for directional stability, but the twin flex means that charging switch into that big step down won't be an issue.

The lightweight Super Fly II core keeps the overall weight down to help with technical tricks. The weight is further reduced through Pro-Tip construction in the tip and tail, which knock the swing weight down for faster spins. The Squeezebox profile is thinner underneath the binding for unrestricted board feel and uninterrupted flex, and the Highlights High Voltage carbon stringers radiate out from the binding to give you more response without making the deck unnecessarily stiff. The Channel mounting system works in conjunction with EST bindings to give you unlimited setup options and a natural flex instead of dead spots under the bindings. Plus, it has a super-fast, wax absorbent WFO sintered base to keep you flying all over the mountain.

A leaner, meaner evolution of the most trusted board ever. Since 1995, innovation has defined the Custom series. Now snowboarding’s one-board answer to all terrain adds Carbon Highlights to the mix for drastic weight-savings, crisper pop and, synthesized with Squeezebox, deluxe handling to pilot through the mountain’s mixed bag. Camber is the top choice for pros like Nicolas Müller and Mikkel Bang.

Rider energy is transferred outward from beneath the feet, energizing the tip and tail while making the board snappier, more stable, and easier to manipulate.
- A tapered tip and tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility.

2014 Burton Custom Snowboard Review

Hi, this is Steve and I'm here with the Burton Custom, a full camber board. It's a board for somebody that would be more into riding at higher speeds, not as playful as some of the rocker boards, but when you want to really get some energy into the board, it really does snap back for you, so it's a real lively board. This would be for somebody who's a little bit better than an intermediate rider, up to an advanced rider, and I would give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Great board! Rode the whole mountain and it performed Flawlessly. The edges hold good on high-speed turns the board has snap for liftoff on jumps. I upgraded from the Burton processed last year After dog funk allow me to return it once I realized I didn't like it. Worth the investment this is what I call a ten-year Burton; I'll have this for the next decade! I ride the 158 and I'm 6 1/2 ft 165lbs and have been riding for 20 + seasons.
