Burton Sherlock - It's no mystery why the pro's choose the powder and freestyle crushing Burton® Sherlock!
A blend of camber and rocker performance, offering the best of both worlds. Rocker overall, including between and outside your feet, enhances playfulness and float. Underneath your feet, subtle camber zones focus edge-control for crisp snap, added pop, and powerful turns.
is perfectly symmetrical for a balanced ride that is equally versatile when ridden regular or switch.
Directional Flex features increased pop in the tail and a more resilient nose that allows riders to easily maintain control through all terrain and conditions.
Super Fly II™ core places stronger and lighter wood in specific areas of the core providing snap, strength, and reduced weight for uncompromised board feel and response.
Dualzone™ EGD™ is positioned along the toe and heel edges, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for superior edge hold and added durability.
Triax™ Fiberglass provides versatile flex and response for everything from mini to mega shred.
Sintered Base is ultra-durable and highly porous. Superior wax absorption delivers greater overall glide.
Frostbite Edges are beneath your bindings and extend out slightly for tremendous edge-hold on hard, icy conditions. While Frostbite Edges are always hungry for hard-pack, they remain ever forgiving in softer conditions.
is snowboarding's ultimate connection - offering the fastest, easiest way to mount your bindings with the most stance options possible. Compatible with all major binding companies.
Carbon I-Beam™ backbone increases pop and longitudinal snap.
Squeezebox energizes the tip and tail by transferring energy downward from under your feet, adding snap when exiting a turn and ollieing.
Side Effects lengthens the surface area at the tip and tail contact points to improve edge-hold and allow the board to plane easier in pow.
Smooth Ride™ with internal dampening lets you ride faster through rough terrain with more control and less impact on your body.
Pro Tip™ design utilizes a tapered tip and tail thickness that reduces swing weight and creates a more playful feel.
Ride™ is created by overbuilding the board, allowing the Burton-exclusive technology to maximize pop and strength. It is then placed in a machine that breaks in the board for you. From first day to last, this board will maintain its flex, pop and performance.

The Burton Sherlock Snowboard combines a directional freeride flex with a twin freestyle shape, to help you get rad all over the mountain. It has all the features you'd expect from Burton, like The Channel mounting system for unrestricted setup and a Flying V profile that blends deep snow float with all-terrain freedom. So whether you're seeking out side-hits or popping pillow lines, the Sherlock won't let you down.

Burton's Flying V profile puts rocker under your feet, for deep snow float and a forgiving ride, and mates it with camber under the feet, for powerful turns and stomped landings. The Sherlock has a twin shape for high-speed switch takeoffs, but the directional flex employs a softer nose to keep the nose from diving on when the snow stacks up. There's a half inch of setback, which maintains a slightly directional feel. Side Effects means you get the longest possible effective edge per size, which translates into trenched-in turns. Frostbite edges bump out under the bindings, for improved edge hold in firm and icy conditions, since you'll likely come across tracked out sections on the way to your favorite stash.

The profiled Super Fly II core keeps the weight low and the response high. It gets a boost from Squeezebox, which means that the core is thinner under the bindings. It works in conjunction with The Channel mounting system to eliminate dead spots in the flex pattern, for predictable control. Pro Tip construction in the tip and tail reduces swing weight for fast spins and responsive turns. Infinite Ride ensures that the Sherlock feels broken out of the box, and stays that way for the life of the board.

While it might not solve any mysteries, the Burton Sherlock Snowboard is still the cleverest stick on the hill. What makes it so smart is its ability to combine a distinctly freestyle feel with the talents of a real pow slayer. Now, you can shred your way from the park to the backcountry and rip apart everything in between. That kind of versatility comes in handy every day of the season as the camber/rocker profile boosts your performance in all conditions. Plenty of pop, a medium flex, and loads of technology all add up to pure mountain dominance. Come on, it’s elementary.

With your incredible powers of deduction, my friend, you should have concluded by now that the Burton Sherlock Snowboard is the ideal vehicle for freestyle pow slashing. With Burton's Flying V™ and Side Effects, you don't have to be a detective to navigate your way through pillow lines and cliff drops. Factor in the Super Fly II™ core, Triax fiberglass weave, sintered base and 10:45™ edges and the decision becomes, well, elementary!

Over the next ridge, tucked between two chutes you'll find it - a terrain anomaly that perfectly sends you, no shovel required. Set it down, keep your speed, slash that wave, then tuck into the trees in search of log slides and pillows. If this is your "park," then the Burton Sherlock is your snowboard.

Burton Sherlock Review:

I have the 2013 and the 2014 version of this board in a 57 and a 54. Last year was my most epic year of riding in 10 years with this board; and that was at Snowbird on one of their lowest snow seasons in 40 years. Great in powder, nice and jibby everywhere, and it holds its edge well compared to other hybrid camber boards in the same style. You can just rock it on edge and then carve away. Pair this with some of Burton's hinge bindings (I have the Genesis) and you have a seriously sick ride that'll get you through just about anything in comfort and style.
