The perfect fusion of comfort, art, technology, and speed, the SLX™ offers riders the purest transmission of human power to forward motion. Both anatomically precise and efficient, the SLX seamlessly blends the most advanced inner-workings with a silhouette that is as light as it is limber, and as comfortable as it is confident. Prepare to heighten your senses, propel yourself skyward, and read the mountain with a whole new set of eyes.
The Burton Men’s SLX Snowboard Boot looks like something you’d see on a Storm Trooper, and for good reason: it’s from the future. This mid-stiff freestyler has it all. First of all, the Imprint 5 liner is pre-wired for Thermic packs (sold separately). This kickass system lets you warm your boots in the car and on-hill, giving you total control over the temperature. The liner also features the J-Bar Adjustable Heel Hold System. Add or remove the J-Bars to get the level of heel lock-down that’s right for you. EZ Entry panels reduce friction so you don’t feel like you’re trying to shove your foot into your cat. Burton tricked out the SLX with Speed Zone lacing—just pull the handles and you’re good to go. The Power Spine 3.0 backstay offers Burton’s highest level of lateral and medial response, and the B3 gel and EVA midsoles offer high-impact cushioning that won’t break down. Fall/Winter 2008

Previous boots: Northwave Legend (true to size) Vans Contra Boa (true to size) Burton Ion (1 size smaller than normal) Burton Serow (2 sizes too small) current boots: SLX (1.5 sizes too small) Hurt a little bit on day one. Packed out just enough to make only my left foot hurt on day two. Packed out a little more on day 3. Put in J Bars after day 4 and they're perfect now. Supportive, nicely sized toe box, easy to remove and put back liner (this is KEY) Velcro is actually better than previous liner system (the orange strap thingie) Vibram outsoles are always nice. Not flashy (great for not attracting the attention and questions of idiots from sierrapatioland) Basically the only boot on the planet that can even come close to Serows in my opinion. Shame on Burton for not bringing the Serow back this year.

I used Burton Ions for a few years I like these a lot more. These boots definitely weren't perfect out of the box- I had heel lift like crazy at first and some rubbing. It took me a little while to get the fit worked out- I had to customize the j-bars (included ankle support foam/velcro peices). I had to use 'em but they were way too big at first and needed to be cut down 30% and shaved a bit. Once I did this the boots fit like a glove and are the best boots I've ever used. Honestly, it really was kind of a pain to get these dialed in but I'm glad I did. Not overly stiff but really good support and a glove-like fit. Much better movement/tweakability than Ions. I also threw down for the boot heaters and they're amazing too.

These ran a little small on me, so I was forced to go up a size. Overall, a very nice boot. Got a great deal on it, which makes it even nicer! I had some issues with it rubbing on the ankle bones. Mine poke out and are a bit boney. However, Burton gives you some additional padding, which is nice. I wonder if it's because they know your ankle bone is going to rub. LOL

Holy Sh!t Burton SLX | |

Its like a a pillow for your feet that transfers every movement to the board. Not bad to walk in either. They are smaller than a boot of the same size last year and easy to get in an out of them once you have everything set for your foot. Great buy

Sizing | |

Yes, the boot size is a little small, so make sure you get the SLX a half size bigger when you order.
