Burton Social -

The Burton Social Women's Snowboard is Burton's softest flexing, most forgiving freestyle board. V Rocker lets you lock into presses with ease, and the spoon shaped Scoop tip and tail provide a catch free ride. There's Frostbite edges to keep you in control, and Jumper Cables to crank up the response. When you're ready to kick your jib game into high gear, consider the Social your new best friend.

The Social is built on Burton's V Rocker profile, so it's fully rockered. That keeps things fun and responsive for jibbing, as well as allowing tons of float on powder days. The Scoop tip and tail crank the fun up even further by lifting the edges for a buttery, catch free ride. The response gets a boost from Frostbite edges, which place bumps under your bindings for tons of edge hold on hard snow and ice.

Pro Tip construction removes any unnecessary material from the tip and tail for faster spins. The women's specific Super Fly Core is profiled for a smooth ride. Paired with The Channel mounting system and EST bindings, it gives the board a natural flex. Jumper Cables carbon stringers radiate out from underneath the bindings for improved response without making the board stiffer. The extruded base holds up well to rails and jibbing, it's easy to repair in the event of a core shot, and it runs fast even if you forget to wax it for a few days.

Fit:

  • Burton designs women's boards to match the geometry and fitness of the female rider; True Flex improves stability and edge control, and energizes pop in the tip and tail

Weather and Wind:

  • Easy-to-maintain extruded base enhances speed and durability to keep you moving fast in all snow conditions

Traction and Grip:

  • Overbite Frostbite Edges provide extra grip in hard and icy conditions

Neck:

  • Exaggerated tip and tail scooping turns up the edges for a looser, more forgiving feel that adds catch-free fun when riding everything from a knee-high box to neck-deep pow

Features:

  • Infinite Ride eliminates break-in time and provides consistent feel every season
  • Burton snowboard deck and base colors may vary from online photo
  • Double Chair Package
  • Dual-density fiberglass from tip to tail provides torsional forgiveness, board feel and edge hold, perfect for advancing to the next level
  • Women-specific True-Flex Design is engineered specially for ladies
  • Pro-Tip reduces swing weight for easier spins
  • Women's Specific Fly Core
  • V-Rocker—center rocker with additional rockers in front of your feet—ups edge control underfoot while disengaging tip and tail contact points for a catch-free feel
  • The Channel system offers unlimited, on-the-fly stance adjustability, enhances board feel and is compatible with EST™, Re:Flex™ and Disc® bindings
  • True twin shape and flex are equally fun no matter which way you point it; and its dynamite pop ensures effortless ollieing for up-and-coming rippers
  • Jumper Cables add more pop and snap
  • Biax Fiberglass has soft and forgiving flex
  • Edges extend out slightly beneath the bindings for tremendous edge hold in hard, icy conditions, yet they remain playful and forgiving in soft conditions
  • The Channel lets you fine-tune your stance width to the millimeter, and then dial in your toe-to-heel centering and rotate your angles in one fell swoop
  • Carbon stringers radiate energy outward from underneath the bindings to the tip and tail for added snap and power, balancing the loose and playful feel of the Social snowboard
  • Extruded Base is low maintenance and easy to repair
  • Fly Core's tip-to-tail wood provides great feel, flex, and pop

Raise a ruckus on the hill with the softest and most playful in rocker performance. While a board like the Feather might want a stable relationship, the Social is more adventurous and laid back. The added float and playful qualities of V-Rocker offer a lively ride for jumping, jibbing, and pow-slashing, while the true twin design is equally skilled no matter which way you point it. Overbite Frostbite edges let you sink your teeth into snow that’s hard or soft for greater grip and control in any condition, while The Channel upgrade gives you the easiest, most adjustable setup with any binding out there.

Features:
• Bend: Rocker - Continuous rocker between your feet and in front of your feet towards the tip and tail creates catch-free playfulness and improved float from peak to park. Frostbite Edges enhance power and grip, balancing the board’s overall loose and forgiving feel.
• Terrain: Groomers to Park.
• Personality: Soft and Playful (No matter if you`ve been riding one day or years, you either want a board that rips hard and fast, or prefer a board that`s more about getting loose.)
• Width: Standard.
• Shape: Twin Shape.
• Flex: Twin Flex.
• Core: Fly Core.
• Base: Extruded Base.
• Fiberglass: Biax Fiberglass.
• Sidewalls: Overbite Sidewalls.
• The Channel - The Channel is snowboarding’s ultimate connection, offering the fastest, easiest way to mount your bindings with the most stance options possible. It’s also compatible with all major binding companies. NEW for 2014, all boards featuring The Channel are backed by a three-year warranty.
• Women`s Specific True Flex - True Flex optimizes women’s board design to match the geometry and finesse of female riders. Torsional softness underfoot transitions to stabilizing zones between and outside your feet. The result is improved stability, effortless edge control, and energized pop in the tip and tail.
- These ultra-light carbon stringers radiate energy outward from your feet towards the tip and tail. The result is greater pop and snap when powering through turns without sacrificing the board’s overall playful feel. For maximum flight, Jumper Cables Hi-Voltage use carbonated rods for ultra-electrified pop and performance.
- This exaggerated tip and tail scooping turns up the edges for a looser, more forgiving feel that adds catch-free fun when riding everything from a knee-high box to neck-deep pow.
- A tapered tip and tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility.

2014 Burton Social Snowboard Review

Hi, I'm Emily. I just got off of the Burton Social. I give this board a 4 out of 5 rating for a beginner to intermediate women's snowboarder. It was a lot of fun, very poppy if you're looking to advance your freestyle snowboarding a little bit, this board's definitely going to support you on that. For good, hard carves, it was really nice too. Holds a good edge, but still keeps it playful. So, when you're looking to just mess around on the hill, it's a lot of fun. If you also like to be in some fresh snow, it is a little bit wider under foot, so it definitely gives you the float and would be a really fun board for slinking around the back side or the side country of the hill. So, I give this a 4 out of 5 for the beginner to intermediate snowboarder.

2014 Burton Social Snowboard Review

Hi, I'm Kelsey. I just got off the Burton Social. I give this board a rating of 4 out of 5 for an intermediate rider. It's a V rocker, it's really responsive, it's super flexible, it likes to hold an edge. If you're looking to advance your riding a little bit in the park or freestyle, this is the board for you. It's also great speeds, it was fast, it's easy to switch, so it's a twin either way works, and it was just a lot of fun, and I highly recommend it for that intermediate rider. It's about a 4 out of 5.

2014 Burton Social Snowboard Review

Hi, I'm Jenna. I just got off the Burton Social. I give this board 3 out of 5 stars. This board is ideal for really your girl who's maybe an entry to mid-level rider, or someone looking for just a fun little jib, park board. It's V rockered, so it's very rockered, it's completely a V in the middle and it's just very squirrely if you do take it up to higher speeds. It's real fun to just kind of play around with, real light, real snappy, real poppy, but it's just not something that you want to get and charge hard on, because it really gets a little bit squirrely, you get a little bit of chatter and it does tend to wash out a bit. So, if you're the type girl that's looking for just a fun, soft flexing, forgiving park board, or a girl who is looking for just something fun to kind of cruise around on the mountain at lower to mid speeds, then this is the board for you.

2014 Burton Social Snowboard Review

Hi, this is Kara. I just finished riding the Burton Social. I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars. It's a nice beginner to low intermediate board. It's got a nice V rocker in, it's real forgiving when you're riding and it'd be great to start learning how to ride the park. Once again, I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars.
