It Worked great right out of the box

It Worked great right out of the box. no problems, but I only hunted with a bow so I haven't tried ranging over 100 yards. I have ranged trees and objects at 300 yards but not animals. if you hunt in open country requiring long range rifle shoots over 300 yards it might not be what you want, but for me as an archery hunter 98 percent of the time it worked great hunting elk in the mountains. When I do hunt with a rifle I don't forsee any problems because most of my shots are within a 300 yard range. super quality for it's price range. Good luck and enjoy

Negative Reviews:

Needs improvement

The product has a poor battery connection, I needed to remove the batteries and reinsert them to get it to work in between use.

Neutral Reviews:

It works, but not great.

I used the LaserPro 850 a few days ago on a combo elk/antelope hunt in Wyoming. While I was successful, the LaserPro was only marginally helpful. While it appeared to be accurate at shorter range, I could not get consistent readings past about 350 yards, and then only against a hard target. My guide used a Swarovski binoc/laser cokbo, and was able to give me coinsistently good ranges well past the 430 yards I ultimately took my bull elk. Was a bit disappointing.(And yes, I am well aware that the Swarovski is a high end, and expensive, unit.)
