Butler Creek Alaskan Magnum Rifle Sling Reviews:

The ONLY Sling to ever buy

I have been hunting with rifles for 40 years and have used all kind of slings from leather, padded, nylon, rubberized and ones with a thumbhole. This is it as far as being the best !!! Nice wide shoulder pad so it does not dig into your shoulder by the end of the day and a truly non-slip wide grip surface under the pad. Plus I always keep 4 rounds in the sling for quick access. This avoids having to carry extra ammo that can rattle in a pocket or be lost somewhere in a pack. I have this sling on all of my hunting rifles and can highly recommend it !!!!

Rifle Sling

Purchased this sling for a new rifle purchase and I love it. Best sling I ever owned. Well constructed for the price. It's easy to adjust, very comfortable, and stays put on your shoulder when walking. The bullet holders are an added bonus to an already great product. I will be buying another one.

Great Sling

Got my new sling on my rifle and it is really comfortable. It looks like it is very rugged and will last a long time. Can;t wait until hunting season.

Negative Reviews:

Good but with Design flaws

Its best characteristic is that it does not slide off the shoulder. The shortcomings are; 1)placement of the upper ammo holder almost on top of the shoulder; 2) cheap attachment method to the swivels which you have to furnish yourself.. The sling has slipped off the upper swivels for me so I cut the loops in the strap and re-sewed them rather than use the buckle. This was a present otherwise I would have sent it back. I just don't understand how someone would give this product five stars. I use my rifles on wilderness hunts in carrying it for long distances through brushy terrain.
