Made of extremely strong and durable parachute nylon, the Byer of Maine Parachute Traveller Hammock is nearly as large as a queen-size bed yet weighs only about 11 ounces and fits into a bag measuring 8 inches by 4 inches. Perfect for hiking or when packing space is tight.
Take the Byer of Maine Traveller Hammock with you on road trips, beach-house vacations, or just to the park. This hammock is almost as long and wide as a queen-size bed, but it fits into a bread-bag-sized stuff sack. Byer of Maine made the Traveller Hammock from extremely durable parachute silk nylon and 70D polyester, so it's fine in a rain shower and great for hiking and camping. This large single-person hammock can hold up to 250 pounds. Lie on it diagonally—the Brazilian way—for optimal support and stability.

Amazing Confort and Packability

| Girlfriend got me this as a birthday gift last year. Took it out for its first test in North Carolina on the Art Loeb Trail. 30 plus mile trail in some of the most strenuous terrain in the Shining Rock Wilderness and Pisgah National forest. This hammock is amazing. Slept in it every night and aparently made my companions mad from the amount of snoring that was coming from my hammock. Bought one for my best friend when we went on a bachelor party backcounttry camping/hiking trip and he loves it. I am small about 5'8" and I was the most comfortable I had ever been camping, my friend is 6'2" and he reported the same comfort. This hammock is a must have for anyone, trust me you wont regret buying this. | |

Very affordable hammock!

| Packs up small, is lighweight and COMFORTABLE! (I lent it to my daughter and son-in-law and together they "tested" the 240 lb. max with their 300+ Lbs!) I slept in it a couple nights in the BWCA and awoke more rested than sleeping on the ground on a self-inflating pad. No "pressure point" soreness. I strung an additional rope over it and staked out an 8 x 10 tarp for a well ventilated, but rain-free evening of sleep. Get the optional ropes that allow a quick and easier setup. Good Value for a quality piece that backpacks well. | |

Awesome travel hammock!

This travel hammock is awesome! It packs ultra small yet unfolds to a nylon oasis. I just used it daily for naps while camping for 5 days and just put it on my front porch when I came home. Used with the Byer of Maine MicroRope, you can string it up almost anywhere there's 2 solid points. The first 1-star review this recieved is WAY OFF!...It almost deterred me from buying it...but Stinky Dave says BUY IT!

great for summer camping

| I have had this hammock for almost two years now and it goes with me whenever I go camping. I usually bring a tent along with me but I still prefer to sleep in this hammock. Lightweight, good build quality and has a built in stuff sack. The only con is that the cords have a tendency to get tangled up when in storage but otherwise it's a good buy at under $20. | |

Lightweight Comfort | |

I enjoy camping, although i dont have the time to take off and camp right now I purchased the hammock to have to lounge around on my front porch. It is amazingly comfortable and easy to use and move, because it is so lightweight. I highly recommend one and I am looking forward to getting some use out of it myself.

This is a great lightweight hammock! I've had one for over two years now and use it everytime we camp. Has held up very well, My husband weighs right at the limit for this hammock and has used it many times. This is strong material and well made.I highly recommend this hammock.

Works really well. The fabric is a bit thin, but no problems here. Lightweight and easy to pack away. Microropes work really well with it.

| I got my hammock about a year ago, and last month, the chords broke. I re-strung it with 3mm chord, and now it is bomber. Be careful becuase if you do not sit in it properly (weight not evenly distributed) some of the ropes get more weight than others, and you may find yourself on the ground. | |

material is no better or worse than Ikea nylon, definitely not a soft product. Good enough for the purpose - I bought this to hold my exercise ball as a sling pocket hanging from a ceiling hook.
