Needs better description

These would have worked out well except the descriptions on the WM site were inadequate to make an informed decision. These are for an axle that is EXACTLY 1-1/2" in size and no more. There are no spare threads to accommodate extra thickness of springs or axle size. We have an axle that is 1-1/2" x 2" but there are no descriptions of exact bolt lengths in the ad. When I called WM, the salesman assured me there where enough extra threads to handle a 2" axle but I found there were not if I wanted to use the nut and lock washer. Ended up having to buy additional U-bolts at a local boat shop. Also, the plate had excessive flashing (residual galvanizing compound) in the holes which made it impossible for the bolts to pass through. Ended up having to drill them out. Wish these had been better made (and described) as they were what I was looking for.
