Cabela's 11 800-Gram Outfitter Series Pro Hunting Boots -
Since they first hit the pages of our catalog 14 years ago, our Outfitter Series boots have risen to the top of our legendary family of hunting boots to claim their spot as our best-selling hunting boots of all time – a title they still hold today. The Pro Series, our latest evolution of this wildly popular line, still boasts all the rugged dependability you've come to expect from boots that bear the legendary Outfitter name, but are loaded with a slew of updated, comfort-enhancing features that the hunter can appreciate. The updated midsoles incorporate the Shock Absorbing Workboot (SAW) technology, which employs strategically placed impact zones in the forefoot and heel that soak up virtually 100% of ground shock. These boots have GORE-TEX® Scent-Lok® linings that don't need to be reactivated. All you have to do is allow the boots to air out after each use. The uppers are crafted of tough, generously oiled American leather with richly padded Bombardier leather collars. We then extended the lacing system farther out over the toes for even more support and stability. Plus, a Cabela's-exclusive Vibram® outsoles, with an innovative multidirectional tread patterning, grab tough terrain while releasing mud and snow. 800-gram Thinsulate™ Ultra Insulation for cold hunting conditions. Imported.

Great boots

I had a pair for over 10 years that I'd put quite a few miles on but were only 200 thinsulate. I lived in TX at the time I bought them. I now live in MO where more insulation is much preferred later in the season. I gave the old boots to my 14 year old son who can put an extra pair of socks in there for more insulation and a better fit. They're still in great shape and waterproof. He loves that they are much warmer than what he already had and comfortably broken in. The new ones are slightly lower in the back and the soles are more comfortable I wore them for a week prior to using them in the field. Used them in the field last week and they are exactly what I expected. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a serious pair of high quality hunting boots.

I have had the 1200-gram version of these same boots since October 2010 and wear them in the NY deer and predator seasons in mid-December-February. Well-built, comfortable and very good quality. The 1200-grams are good at least to low-Teens wind chill with a thick pair of socks and some toe warmers. I just bought these 800-grams to replace another Cabelas' model boot which I am retiring after 10 good years. These 800-grams will be my November-early December boots. I am giving these only 4 stars because I am 5'7" and I wish these were made maybe in a 9" high version like the boots they are replacing. Walking in 11" boots becomes a little uncomfortable for a shorter stature guy!

Very good boots

This is about the fourth pair of these I have owned. They are comfortable but a little heavy. They wear well and that is why I keep buying them!

I really liked the old boot and now they changed it WHY?
I have wore the last style of boot for years, 365 days a year 24/7 and went through 4 pairs . They last me 2 to 3 years AWESOME boot , Ice fishing ,work , hunting going out everywhere at anytime . I am not the one to complain ever BUT here are my cons about the new style.
THE SOUL not lugs ,
the old style cleaned out very nicely, wore them to Canada and no slip on the slippery shores and wear life is forever, made with GOOD YEAR .
THE TOUNGUE its three time thicker why ?
THE WAY THEY LACE the old style was much much better and easier .
PLEASE CABLAES go back to the old style or tell me were I can get the old style,
THANKS FOR READING and if I could get a pair of the old style of this boot it would put a smile on my face 9.5 EE is my size.
