Cabela's 320-Lb. Capacity Big Buck Scale Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

No more debating

We were always guessing the weight of our white tail deer. The trouble was that our guesses were biased depending on whose kill it was. So now we have the "bigger deer lie detector" or as you call it the big buck scale. I really like the durability and weight marker. Instead of wondering who is telling the truth, we can give praise where praise is due. And the price was great to boot.

Negative Reviews:

NOT a great scale

Used this scale twice recently - once for a small button buck (60 lb field dressed) and once for a fair-sized doe (115 lb field dressed).
- Positive: Scale is sturdy except for the weight indicator slide. Weights are repeatable to within 4 or 5 lb.
- Negative: The sliding indicator is difficult to read and the detached indicator which should show maximum weight does not stay in place, but falls to the bottom (indicating my small antlerless deer weighed 320 lb). The interior mechanism sticks and can hang up while weighing. Lastly, the scale is more than a foot long which takes precious space when hoisting a large deer by a fixed height hoist.
- I will return this scale and buy a more carefully made circular dial scale that is shorter and fits more scale divisions into the same vertical space.scale

worst purchase

I am 62 years old and have been hunting most of my life, plus I have been guiding for four years. This has to be the the worse scale i have ever used. i get a different measurement every time it is tried aganist a confirmed weight. It is a true piece of trash. I am really disappointed that Cabelas put it's name on this scale. If you expect a good scale, do not buy this one you will be disappointed.
