Cabela's 4"-Diameter Travel Rod Tubes

The tube is just what I need. I used it to care (4) rod to Alaska on a salmon fishing trip. I placed (2) Spinning rods & (2) bait casting rods in rod socks in the tude with room for (2) more rods. I needed a min. of 44" in length, the tube is 56". I placed a peice of pipe insulation foam tube indise to keep the rods from sliding back and forth. Very good item. I like it better than all the others I looked into using. I have been using (2) 3" Plano tubes. I could only get (2) rods per tube. The guides are to large for more per tube.

Good capacity, top came loose

The rod tube is roomy. I packed a 5wt, a 6wt, and an 11 foot switch rod recently for a trip to Texas. The only problem that I had was that the top plastic ring and lid were not glued in very well. I glued them back in place and the tube is fine. It's also really impact resistant. And, the airline let me carry it on and put it in the overhead. But, one caution; if you plan to carry it on, it won't fit the overhead in many of the regional jets.

Nice travel rod case

I travel to South America to fish for monster Peacock bass and Golden Dorado. This case will hold 4 X 7 ft 3 piece heavy action casting rods or 3 casting and 1 spinning rod, including each rod's cloth case. The inside dim. 29 1/2" long X 3 9/16" Dia.. The case will fit in the overhead luggage compartment in the airplane.

Works great

Bought this for a trip to AK salmon fishing. Held 4, 2 piece spinning rods easily. And short enough that we were allowed to carry it on and not pay for extra baggage. Saved baggage fees virtually paid for the case.
