The seams have been enhanced with extra bartacks to allow custom cuts, plus the Velcro® closure has been widened for increased adjustment in fit. The 5mm neoprene construction will stand up to in-the-field hazards and adds buoyancy for your dog. Adjustable and warm, our Deluxe Neoprene Vest with Armor-Flex Chest Protector boasts added protection running the entire length of the neck, chest and belly. Crafted of the same Armor-Flex material used to reinforce high-wear areas in hunting waders, the chest plate will shield your dog's soft underside from snags, corn stubble and other hazards. Chest plate is camouflaged in the same pattern as the vest for added concealment. Chest protector on Blaze Orange Vest is black.

With Mod. will fit thinner pointing breeds
I bought the XL vest (chest size) for my Vizsla (53lbs) to hunt late season pheasants in Iowa as if he gets wet in the cold he shuts down. I have tried other solutions, (i.e. fleece vest with not much luck as they have been destroyed after one day in the field) It is designed to fit a Labrador but modified it by stitching the neck opening smaller with Kevlar fish line to keep the snow from getting inside the neck hole and cutting off the excess material to fit comfortable. Also trimmed the back and now have used it several times this fall/winter and he may get wet but stays warm as well as the seams and material have held up beautifully. Not perfect for a Vizsla out of the box but with a few modifications serves the purpose. Would have given it 5 stars other than the fact I had to modify it to fit my breed of dog.

I purchased this chest protector for my yellow lab during the short dove season out here in Utah. This hunting tool greatly improved my ability to focus on the birds rather than worrying about my dog getting off track. The hunters orange made it easy to see my dog through vegetation with peripheral vision. I suggest that after sizing the chest protector to your hunting pal, leave it off until the hunt begins to keep him as comfortable as possible.

Warm and Durable
Our lab mix loves this jacket. We were able to trim it up just right and it fits well, keeps her warm, and adds visibility in the woods (brown dog in brown brush).
Worked perfect
Went out today, it was 34 degrees and when you stuck your hand under the vest the dog was still warm. Overall I thought the measurements were accurate for sizing.
